  • I understand that this is an extremely rare fish sighting, but seeing all these smiling people touching a dead fish they're currently in the water with is so weird and creepy. Don't touch dead things! You don't know why they're dead!

  • When I was maybe 10 years old back in the 90s I asked my Dad why we put a bunch of people in a heavily populated area "when Montana is just sitting there empty. I mean, someone uses the land and we get like, taxes and museums and maybe an amusement park, right?"

    He seemed genuinely poleaxed.

I still don't have an answer to this day!

  • It's only hypocritical if you approve of it's use that way, which I do not. It would be naive or even stupid to expect those countries not to retaliate, but I don't like it when anyone interferes in a diplomatic process.

  • I'm not trans.

I hate my legal name. I will change it when I'm ready to do the paperwork. Until then, everyone calls me the name I prefer.

I would have been a thorn in this teacher's side. I'm not answering to that name, asshole. I'm not writing it on any documents. I'm allowed to tell you what to call me for whatever reason I want. My mother's best friend, who I was named for, was an abusive fucking cunt to me and every time you say her name I'm reminded of her.

What a douche. Stop policing names. The only names worth policing are the ones that are remarkably dumb.

  • The person you're replying to is clearly uninformed but I do want to let you know that like most things involving the human body, this isn't a one-size-fits-all problem. I did keto but I have nondiabetic hypoglycemia, which is how I got an A1C of 3.9, and how I found out how dangerous that is and that I do actually require some (preferably complex) carbohydrates every day.

I understand nondiabetic hypoglycemia is pretty rare so I still support you fighting misinformation (and especially that no one requires added sugars, which should, by now, just be common sense) but I did want to throw this out there, that folks should absolutely seek a doctor before going all in on a zero sugar diet.

  • I'm bummed you're being downvoted.

Hi. Human here. I have never had a kidney stone. I have worked in healthcare.

Some people are absolutely just fucked. It's just the luck of the draw. I've seen it a handful of times; a person's diet is completely controlled, they do everything right, and they get fucked anyway.

One person I knew did everything right and had them once a month anyway. I asked him why he was bothering with all the precautions and diet changes and intake rules, and he said, "Because they're the difference between one a month and three a week."

  • Oh, no, I have a prescription for ADHD medication. I've just always been curious about whether I'd have that experience.

I haven't done it by now and I'm pushing 40. Don't you worry about me.

  • I have pretty crippling ADHD and I always wanted to try cocaine because of all the stories of ADHD folks trying it and feeling calm and normal.

Just curious to see if I have the same experience.

  • My cat 100% has a name for every human he meets, and he can even say those names in higher or lower registers (and volumes) depending on how he's addressing that person.

I tell people this, and they think I'm insane. I even point out the sound that means that specific person's name, and they don't bother to learn it!

    Temba, his arms wide.

  • That's a totally believable action if you just saw someone doing something you perceived as romantic, and you didn't know they were together, and also you're a big fan of them so you like that they're together.

That's exactly the face I'd make I'd I realized two people I liked were a happy couple.

  • I'm here to add my opinion that FF9 is superior to FF7.

In general, I prefer when your characters have set classes. It feels like it lets the characters have more fleshed-out personalities.

Without spoiling anything, it allows you to tell story through the medium. Have a character who spent his whole life in one class, relying on specific skills, and he maybe goes through a huge fight to signify that he's changed for the better? Congrats. You have a class change! Now you're a level nothing!

Maybe someone traumatizes a caster, and now they can't concentrate, giving them a chance to fail their spells!
