  • You needed five points to get to saying you don't know what I'm talking about?

  • I encourage them to continue trying. For science.

Eta: please don't tell me about it unless you succeed. I was just trying to be supportive.

  • Please don't believe literally anything you read that references procreation genetics. It turns out, humans are complicated, wars happen, some people value people for their feet more than their faces... there's literally no data that's concrete enough to be valuable enough, and anyone telling you otherwise is doing so either because they're lying to themselves, to you, or selling something.

Source: having read quite a lot of it over my many years on this earth, and watching it be destroyed time and again. Hell, I could write a paper arguing that people typically choose mates based on their appearance, their intelligence, their height, their income, their geography, their history of family trauma, their interests, their smell... And find documentation of various dubiousness to support each argument.

  • These words are in English, but the sentiment is so foreign to me I can't seem to comprehend it.

...might be fried from work and classwork, tho.

  • Lol I'm ridiculous

  • I want out of this mall is what I want. This is no way to run a business!

  • I'm glad this was your takeaway as well because it felt to me like the second person was belittling the first, and... they really should shut the fuck up.

  • The boyfriend (also ADHD) and I both have it for people making eating sounds, like eating with their mouths open. Your mentioning smacking made me think of that. Agh!

  • I get real mad when people use ADHD as an excuse to be an inconsiderate bag of dicks.

I prefer to be interacting with several forms of media, yes. But I don't need the sound up on all of them, and if I did, I'd put on my BT headphones and mix the sound levels individually. What an asshole.

  • I'm ADD as hell and I couldn't have got with someone who played their things loud like that. I can tolerate one audible thing, but multiple?

  • I'm pure ADHD and it's for sure me in the picture.

I'm now considering getting a tiara. I want to wear it in the bath.

  • Good looking out! Appreciate it!

Also, anything that adds surreal nonsense is something I support, especially using it on bots.

  • :: TW- Somewhat graphic discussion of suicide

There's fascinating data that explains that the reason men are more successful is because they suicide in a more violent fashion, and women tend to do things like poisoning.

"Women may be more likely to take others into consideration, and looking at suicide in the context of relationships may give women less incentive to want to die as it will cause others emotional harm. That may also be why they choose less violent methods of suicide to avoid traumatizing those who will grieve their loss."

There are a lot of other reasons why the methods might be different. There are a lot of opinions on it. But of the people I've lost to suicide, a couple of women intentionally overdosed and left a note out where the family could find it indicating where they'd left their body so they didn't have to come collect it themselves, or there was one who locked herself in the bathroom with a note on that door... and of the men it was hanging or a shotgun to the face in the woods behind his house. (Which resulted in the neighbor kids finding his body. Not cool.)

  • I fuckin loved spiced coke. I had a flat of the mini cans I got from Sam's Club (don't judge me, we don't have a Costco or a Trader Joes where I live) and every day after I got home from the gym I'd have a can of spiced coke and it was the fuckin best.

But now it's gone and I'm quite upset about it. The orange cream is fine but it's not the spiced. AGH! They made a coke with all my favorite flavors and then ditched it!

  • If you read this comment in the style of, "this is an ad for Coke trying to yank at your heartstrings," the ending is both hilarious and really satisfying. So thanks for that!

I don't know why but I imagined you throwing it away while saying, "Gran wouldn't stand for this!"

  • Oh my God! I also lived an entire life in a dream!

I was really lucky, because I lived to an old age, and then my husband died, and I was able to really come to peace with my life and have a healthy relationship with my grown children and my grandchildren before I woke up.

I guess what I did differently is I had closure, and peace. And it took a week for the reality to sink back in, and for this life to become the real one, but I always felt... that life had its chance, ended. This one needs my very different attention. I'd hate to do this one wrong because I was still living in the last one.

I'm so glad you found someone real to love. I feel like we should start a lived-a-life-in-a-dream support group. It would've been really nice to have someone who understood then, at the beginning!

  • So I'm an older lady, and when I was young, I was told many interesting things by women who were quite old (at the time.)

My mother's family is from Siciliy.

Anyway all I'm saying is this sort of thing happened a lot, and if necessary, it will happen again.

Coincidentally, I'm almost 40 and have never married... but I haven't been single in many, many years. Those stories will stick with ya, and there's no need for divorce where there's no marriage.

  • The kind of people who want to end no fault divorce don't actually care about female suicide.

Warn them that men's life expectancy dramatically increased due to no fault divorce. Because a woman trapped in a bad marriage kills her husband.
