Nah, AU stands for alternate universe, I learned that when someone once threatened my life with Splatoon characters.
lol I worked at a professional theatre for 5 years (and theatres in general for way longer) and you seem like you're more well versed than I am.
Interesting point about Les Mis and Phantom. I enjoyed Les Mis the last time I saw it, but that was ages ago, during a time that I also liked Phantom (I still like a few songs in phantom, but hoo boy there's a lot of grossly problematic themes in it). Phantom with a high budget can be a blast to watch though, from a technical standpoint. I saw it once in Las Vegas. The chandelier was in 3 pieces hanging above the audience seating, and it slowly lit up and came together above the stage during the overture. It was fucking crazy to see. (awful audio warning: I found a terrible quality video on youtube!)
Haven't seen Wicked, Cats or Hamilton (or basically any broadway show. I'm a heretic, I know lol), so I can't comment on those. I haven't seen Evil dead: the Musical, but I've wanted to for ages. I'm big on Horror movies, and the Evil Dead movies are all wild.
I'm glad you mentioned Moulin Rouge. That movie is so fucking incredible. El Tango De Roxanne has lived rent free in my head since I first saw it and I'm honestly so glad about it.
As for recommendations to check out:
- Sweeney Todd. The 2007 movie with Johnny Depp is great (and very bloody) but I've seen a few renditions of it live and it's honestly always a great show. Checks a lot of boxes for me (good tunes, dystopian, and a surprisingly heavy story given that the theme is often horror-comedy-esqe).
- Urinetown. Been a while since I've seen it, but it's a great satirical musical (it makes jabs at a ton of stuff, but it's mostly aimed at capitalism in general).
- Little Shop of Horrors. This one has a special place in my heart because it's the first musical I worked on in highschool that I actually enjoyed. Not much to say, it's just a fun show.
Pepperoni and green peppers, mushrooms, olives, chives!
Oh wait wrong song.
How do I know if something is Nuttable
?
What kind of musicals do you like? I don't generally care for musicals as much as other play formats, but I got to see some real fun ones when I was a backstage tech at a theatre.
The Wiz is absolutely amazing though.
This is entirely unrelated, but this scene gives off identical vibes to "potato dono" and no one can convince me otherwise.

What model, and could I get your opinion/recommendation on them? I've had a pair of "JBL Tune 760NC" headphones for a few months now and they're okay, but the noise cancelling isn't nearly as good as I'd hoped.
You could check out Sidebery (Firefox addon) (A note: I use it with Floorp, a fork of Firefox built around user control. Floorp link)
Ton of features and very nuanced customization (you can change pretty much all minutia of its UI, which is a huge plus over other stuff I used). Some noteworthy features I like:
- Vertical tab bar with collapsible parent/child tabs
- Tab Grouping, which seems to be functionally the same as workspaces
- Unload or refresh tabs or groups en masse easily
- Customizable new tab buttons. ie: you can have "new tab", "new private (or other container) tab", and "new lemmy.world tab" all at once.
- Customizable movement of tabs to specific Tab Groups based on domain and/or container. ie: I have a "Media" tab group, and I set it up so any domain from youtube.com or dropout.tv automatically get moved from other tab groups over to "Media"
There's more, but those are the points that I find the most useful.
This is the only truly responsible usage of chatbots.
First off: Everyone who played the historical documentary Brutal Legend knows that metal was a gift from the gods.
Second: Miocene epoch heavy metal is my favorite genre!
First I'm hearing of Tiny10 and starting to consider my options for jumping ship on windows. Anyone willing to give a short rundown/ weigh their opinions of linux/windows/other OSes. Video games are the main factor for me, with user control a very close second.
If everyone had this subjective reality we would not have survived as a species.
This is actually a very nice thing to hear from someone, thanks for that.
The gravity of it is difficult to really explain to others, because it's a weird concept, and an explanation usually only covers one aspect, but the reality is that the example that I gave is a truly constant occurrence and means I end up using most of my energy in a given day just troubleshooting what my own body is trying to tell me. I also think a big difference is for many others, misread signals will sort themselves out by becoming clear without much active intervention before it's an issue, and that rarely happens in my experience.
I meant more in a general sense of being exclusively a "net" being.
As for why to that: without going into great detail, I feel a level of detachment to my body that I think most people don't have, and I feel like it would be a much better experience for me as a consciousness to be removed from my uncooperative body.
Basically, I feel like basic signals from my body (hunger, fatigue, pain, etc.) Are not well received by my brain. Many times it feels like a totally unlabeled signal from a body part, and I need to actively troubleshoot what the feeling is and why.
As an example, I'll get a feeling in my abdomen, but I won't know if it correlates to pain, hunger, thirst, sitting still, being sore, or any number of other things.
The abdomen sends a messenger up to the guy in charge at the brain, and the interaction goes something like this:
- Brain: what is it, messenger?
- Messenger: I come with important news from the stomach!
- B: Great, let's hear it.
- M: oh, dang, I think I dropped the message on the way here. It was definitely important though. Anyway, bye!
I'd rather follow Alt's path than David's. I don't want a different body. I don't want a body at all.
Yes. I started drinking them maybe 20 years ago and the benefits of drinking them, both then and now, far outweigh any negatives. Turns out stimulants are extremely helpful for people with (at the time) undiagnosed ADHD.
Yeah, good luck finding the energy to that or literally anything else without stimulants.
Or is that just me?
I once won a bike in a punch card raffle for drinking as much monster as I do. No kidney stones yet, just a full immunity to the positive effects of caffeine and the constant threat from my body to never stop drinking them or else my head will implode from withdrawal.
How'd you get a picture of my house?
