It seems like on an e-bike Lithium would be the go due to it's higher energy density.

On a trailer you can house it in something appropriate and the size and weight requirements aren't as restrictive.

It seems like keeping the battery is a common practice when selling a trailer. That's why mine doesn't have one. A lot of people would never use one if they're always parked in someone's yard or in a powered site.

I doubt we will really need a battery at all over the next 6 months with the trips we have planned. Probably better to hold off until we have a few trips under our belt to determine exactly what appliances we're really going to need.

I'm "obsessed" with the oil content because most people sipping oat milk lattes think that it's the nectar lovingly squeezed from plump little oats by italian virgins while sunning themselves by the seaside.

My situation is, I've recently purchased a camper trailer. It's wired up but needs a battery. I haven't had time to "research" other than seeing what batteries people are selling second hand. It seemed to me that everyone was using AGM batteries for this purpose and while I knew that AGM referred to the physical structure of glass mesh I had assumed it was synonymous with deep cycle batteries.

Now I've read about it a bit more I realise that LiFePO4 batteries are superior but more costly.

I guess, the reason why I was seeing AGM batteries everywhere is because everyone's buys them because they're cheap and then realises they really needed LiFePO4 so they try to sell the AGM and upgrade.

Hmm, I don't find it "tasty" myself and just kind of assumed it was milk's ugly-cousin substitute. Why else would it be oat "milk" if not intended as a substitute? It never occurred to me that someone would drink it as a stand alone beverage because... there's much nicer drinks around than oily water.

There's a cafe here that doesn't serve cows milk so they offer oat milk to everyone that asks. "Nah mate I'm good just poor some oil in there that'll do".

We don't really do "creamers" here. It's either cow's milk, cream, or this type of vegetable oil based substitute "milk".

Also just to make sure you're aware, all coffee is black coffee before you add "creamer".

Looking at the ingredients of oat milk it's often as little as 2% oats.

That checks out looking at these ingredients... 4/5ths of the oats are strained out.

That means it's really oily unsugary water with a whiff of oat.

What is even the point of that.

Also, fun fact... the xanthan gum seems to kill the creme on a nice cup of black coffee. So a dish of oat milk in your long black is... undesirable.

The thing is, it's not simply that Musk has an ideology that is disparate from my own, he has an agenda that is egregiously contrary to the stated values of the Debian project.

You'd consult with the community over a new logo or blog layout maybe, but on whether to assist Musk in his far right agenda there's not really any decision to be made honestly.

You might be right about Googles agreement with Mozilla. I had assumed it would be based on the number of searches performed with a mozilla user agent but that's just a guess.

I'm not sure why exactly but I just feel very uncomfortable with the idea of donating to Mozilla. I absolutely believe in the importance of Firefox' existance, and if I felt I was contributing to that then I would donate. I think with the situation as it is making a donation would feel a bit like voting - my own contribution isn't going to effect the outcome, and I don't really agree with mozilla's behavior anyway.

On the other hand, if Mozilla declared that they were going to spin off a separate org exclusively to develop and maintain firefox, and would have no ongoing relationship with google nor advertising of any kind, would focus on privacy, and were going to survive entirely on subscriptions, I feel like that's something I could get behind and feel happy to contribute.

Yeah. I really dislike this "rule" because it's commonly espoused by motivational speakers and efficiency "experts" saying you make 80% of your money from 20% of your time.

It sounds great if you've never heard it before but in practice it just means "be more efficient" and is not really actionable.
