It let him control a mouse with his brain, which is actually great since he's a quadriplegic. Getting it if you aren't fully paralyzed would be stupid.
I think they were feature complete with 98 and polished with xp. Everything after that was unnecessary bloat and chasing flashy UI trends (or worse, needlessly changing things to "innovate").
I use xfce and it basically hasn't changed UI style since xp and I love it.
I think Google did something fucky recently. I've been having chrome lock up for me on my lightweight Linux distro when it never has before. It seems like the ram management is totally out of control now.
I use chrome because the dev features are still the best and I need them for work, but I think I'm finally going to switch to Firefox for my non dev needs.
The desktop was feature complete in 1998. Everything after that was unnecessary complication. I use xfce desktops and it hasn't changed a bit and I love it.
It depends on where you are, but I've never saved money taking a taxi over ride share from the airport, but I've had it cost way more plenty of time. It being the same cost has been the best case scenario for me.
I tried taking a taxi about a year ago. There was one right there and I figured, might as well give it a try, won't have to wait. It was over twice as much as a ride share. The price difference isn't even close, they'd have to raise prices a ridiculous amount before I'd take a taxi again. Fuck not knowing how much a trip is going to cost ahead of time.
Those worked great for me when I was in Japan. Google Maps was also great for getting around, it would have been really hard to navigate without it.
The hardest part was navigating services. It was really hard to figure out how to get IC cards and cell service, and getting online tickets was a nightmare dealing with horribly buggy websites. I normally like to plan things on the fly when I travel, but for Japan I really recommend doing research ahead of time and getting tickets for things you want in advance.
They never took off because they marketed it poorly. Just partner up with Dragonball Z and make them look like scouters and they'll sell out immediately.
As bad as establishment candidates tend to be, trump is far far worse. The problem with the trump supporters is they boil everything down to "X bad, so not X good!" Trump was an outsider which is why they supported him, but just being an outsider doesn't automatically make you good, and in his case he's far worse.
What is this? I've never seen it before! Where are you using it?
