Remember the outrage when stuff like that happens in China?
Ever since living there a few years back, I keep saying how your two countries are so fucking similar, and it getting truer every day.
I'm right there with you on that one. For years I've dreamt about a post-apo game where you rebuild and look forward to the future, instead of wallowing in misery and barely getting by.
I think a 4X game, or better, something like a Heroes of Might & Magic might be the right scale to do it, but so far nobody seems to have seen the niche waiting to be filled.
I dream of filling it myself but I simply don't have the energy for a project that scale. I'm no ConcernedApe or Tarn Adams, ha !
I read some really racist xit yesterday on here, under the pretense of "my historical accuracy is so offended!"
It was almost hilarious, like a really average greentext on 4chan.
So I guess that's nice to see such rabid reaction. And just for that I appreciate the game being there and not bending over.
Oh even better.
I manage Kong (an API manager) and 90% of my time these days is explaining illiterate devs that no, Kong is fine, it's their shitty API crashing. Or better, their shitty HAproxy they don't know how to configure.
FML.
You are thinking it's easy because you only think of e == E, but I'll let you look up collation and accents and, you know, Unicode and let you think about it.
There is nothing trivial about case sensitivity, except in trivial cases.
Glorious. I remember some hilarious nonsense in an API where the devs I worked with hadn't known they could just use boolean in JSON and had badly implemented it through strings, but this...
This is amazing!
Sounds about right. If there is one thing that'll get you taken the piss out of, it's trying to think you're special. Dear gods you can't live in Ireland without a thick skin or a sense of banter. I do miss it dearly.
Your jesus like approach is nice and all, but a lot of people seem to only learn their lesson after they have suffered. I think we shouldn't rejoice in their suffering and instead hope they learnt a fucking thing, but given their stupidity literally cost lives, I'd say you shouldn't be surprised at people enjoying a bit of Schadenfreude.
Shaving them seems too mild, for people in power who will do it again at the first occasion.
