There are definitely others that seem to participate in these discussions with the sole goal of upsetting people wearing a veneer of of leftist politics while lacking any seeming empathy. I tend to doubt their motives when they seem to only have compassion for some and not all

How did you get out of the country if you don't mind me asking? I have no idea where I would start if I needed to leave. I'd prefer to go to a blue state if I could but of course that might not be an option. Also do you miss living in the US?

100%. If you look at the language they're using to describe trans people in their EOs it's clear as day where they're heading and considering they've begun holding trans people's passports indefinitely- they don't want us escaping.

In a way I almost prefer this. I don't want any software that can distinguish between trans and cis people. The risk for harm is extremely high.

You think the supreme court won't side with whatever schlock trump puts out? You should listen to a few of their hearings. The ones on free speech and transgender issues are specifically telling.

The laws don't have to make sense as long as they're in power.

It's not real life scale but I have yet to see another developer attempt anything like the slice of time that we got with Majora's Mask

It's loosely in the same genre but you may like Rebel Galaxy. It takes a slightly different approach to space combat making it closer to naval warfare. Very enjoyable soundtrack.

This is how I feel about music

With allies like these on Lemmy who the fuck needs enemies. So anytime we want to throw trans people under the bus just add it to a funding bill? Would y'all be singing the same tune if these provisions targeted gay people? Black? Jewish? At what point does an anti trans law cross the line for y'all? How many rights do we have to lose before you'll speak up?

They literally did lose the war on gay acceptance. It became politically infeasible for conservatives to run on anti-gay platforms. That's the entire reason they switched all of their efforts towards trans people.

Now, do they plan to come after gay people once they've annihilated trans people? Absolutely. There is no chance they have forgotten about them as their ideology does not allow minorities to exist as equals and they are 100% using trans people as their foot in the door to eventually come after everyone else.
