  • It wasn't commodified nearly to the extent it is now, so a large portion of it existed merely because of people's passion. There were no super sites of information like reddit, so people would create their own websites and forums dedicated to one subject. Forums still had their arguments, but it wasn't nearly as vitriolic as social media is now. Search really, really sucked until Google came along. Slow as balls.

  • I'm not. They're the ones outlawing abortion and trying to eliminate trans people. They're the ones that are okay with discrimination and bigotry. They're the ones okay with rounding up immigrants and sending them to camps. There is no reason to tolerate their intolerance and their ideology is based upon oppressing anyone that isn't male, rich, and white.

  • It is very difficult in these times to tell when someone is asking questions in good faith. I'm glad we were able to clear things up.

  • When I say separate but equal is unethical I am referring to trans people being treated as separate from their gender, which they are not

  • And this time there will be zero investment in stopping it spreading when it starts killing people
