What app/program do you wish existed and what does it do that you've not found elsewhere?

  • LDAP? It what AD is based on, at least originally. I haven't looked at either in 10+ years.

    • Do you use userscripts or other automation options like autohotkey? Which ones do you find most useful? Could you recommend some good sources(including lemmy communities) that are on the topic?

  • Is like to hear about some of these as well. I've been using Obsidian for years and never thought to have it do "something outside of Obsidian".

    My main use of it is to sync my notes across different devices (and I'm not too crazy about taking notes in it).

  • Library extension. Go to as page selling a book (Amazon, Powell's, etc.) and the extension will show you if you're local library has the book, how many copies, and if they're available for checkout. You can then click through and put a hold on the book.

    Great cure for impulse buying of books. I've read more and bought less since using it.

  • I’m all for privacy, but the argument I have nothing to hide ... is hard to argue with, when it comes to the average person, because the truth is that they don’t matter and most likely no-one cares about their specific data.
