I don't think Microsoft cares

A few years ago Windows invented a new sleep state, s0ix, instead of the previous s3 state. This makes a laptop behave more like a phone, able to wake up when it receives new data.

Unfortunately this is usually implemented badly and also causing the removal or neglect of previously reliable s3 sleep.

I'm actually thinking about switching to systemd-boot with Secure Boot, TPM2 and stuff, so even further from mainstream installers.

But you're still getting updates every day, just two weeks later than Arch. The "testing" is just two other branches somewhat closer to the Arch package releases.

The Manjaro release style is holding back everything (yes, also critical security updates) for two weeks. How is that better than getting the updates?

None of the usual installers can do what I want unfortunately, so I'm stuck doing it myself.

I use streaming services to check out new albums or new to me artists, but my main playlist lives on my own server.

Looks like they're generally confused. The license file is GPLv3, the readme claims to be licensed under LGPLv3 and they have those terms. Potentially the terms apply only to official binaries, similar to VSCode.
I think this would require some form of CLA, or they couldn't redistribute contributed code under their terms.
