This is why I like to remind everyone that inflation is a widespread increase in the cost of goods and services. There is no "greedflation" - that's just inflation, and Republicans have been to blame for inflation all along.
I absolutely tear through headphones. When they're wired, the wire breaks where it meets the earpiece. When they're wireless, the battery last like two hours. The USB port on my phone is long dead, and they don't sell phones with the old headphone jack that didn't break.
But I still refuse to be that guy playing music on the bus.
If corporate social media can be used to fuck up the world so horribly, then imagine what we can build now that we have p2p social media. Everybody is mad and should be mad. But we're easy to manipulate. We need to adapt how humans obtain and process information, and numerous p2p apps have demonstrated limits to corporate power.
New ways to communicate and coordinate are a really big deal. We're a tremendously productive species whose time is mostly being wasted. With what might seem like minor tweaks to our society, we can build this picture.
I like to use quotes because they're less likely to be misinterpreted than my own words saying the same thing.
"Property is theft!"
— Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
"Experience demonstrates that there may be a wages of slavery only a little less galling and crushing in its effects than chattel slavery, and that this slavery of wages must go down with the other."
— George Carlin
