I'd say a contributing factor could be tv/films. It's very common to see the divorced/dumped/bereaved/generally lonely people heating up frozen food and pushing some meat puck around with a fork, feeling pretty close to ending it all.. it's just dumb social commentary but I think it shares some blame for the "universal view" of one person heating up a frozen dish being kind of pathetic
Hey though, it gives the extra benefit of knowing who else there is Alaskan from knowing glances! I definitely notice them immediately when I'm out of AK
For fun, I recommend challenging your partner to a "most talented loser" set of games. Set up rules (like, you can't just immediately tank and end the game) and play like you make the worst decision each opportunity. If you have choices between smart moves and really dumb moves, choose the dumb ones. That way, one of you ends up accidentally winning.
As a kid, my brother had really awful sportsmanship but whenever we played to lose, it was far more fun and silly
Yeah, I learned the hard way that I had to specifically ask the bank to just deny a charge instead of allowing it and then charging me a daily fee. What a fucking racket
Prego makes a mushroom/sausage jar that is actually hella good. Also, mixed vegetables Prego. If I'm trying to class up a plain jar of red sauce, adding a whole can of diced tomatoes gives it a push. Raid your spice cabinet for flavors you like (and if you have citric acid, add a pinch)
I don't think so, she only does that after the shower has been running. I think condensation builds on the handle. Vet says she's in perfect health so ¯(ツ)_/¯
I considered moving this hefty tome from the video as a gesture of humility, then thought to myself, what kind of scholar am I, who feels the need to hide my savoir-vivre?
Well, to comment on this take, I would like to mention that in America (at least) ice makers in the fridge (either freezer or dispenser in freezer door) have been an unavoidable option when purchasing new appliances for about ~20 years. Even used ones in that timeframe mostly have this feature. Buying fridges over 20yrs old is.. not recommended
This is a broad format, but I like the American English formula of "Well, blank my blank and call me a blank!" to express "oh wow, I did not expect that!"
Typically in my experience, it is pretty vulgar. Eg: "well, slap my ass and call me a bitch!"
No, but it's not like there were a lot of people around giving me a hard time about it
