This is corpo bullshit, in proper cyberpunk mood. We could need a Silverhand soon.

My nephew and his friends has been obsessed with it for a year now. He's 9. They are still releasing seasons and skins I have to buy for him. The relatively recent Futurama ones were cool.

If all it took was a terrible explosion to discourage you, probably good you never took that route.

Now I'm a senior fullstack software developer. And it is honestly fun to chase bugs, no matter if they're my bugs or someone elses. Also I didn't need any university education for this. Went IT trade school, learned programming myself, got job as 1st line phone support, then was promoted to developer when I found and fixed bugs before it reached the devs.

Still would have loved to go the librarian path too. Maybe in the next life.

US could need more movies with how police are supposed to act. From over here it seems like all US cops think they are action heroes up until bullets fly and they turn into undertrained cowards in overprized gear.

Lot of new apps, like for example Windows' Phone Connection, have a minimum width instead. With unhideable columns. Often chat programs that does this. Also annoying. And weird that they build apps to look like mobile first designs, but then refuse to be useful on PCs when I scale the window to a vertical rectangle.

Jup. And then you have to catch yourself before selecting because the content you are seeing are about to be switched with web results in a second..

And then, as you wait for the program to load, because you are already on a roll you switch to another window and continue working. But the program that is loading and updating and showing fancy launch animations keep stealing the focus over and over instead of staying in the background at least until its done.

Being effective in Windows is difficult.

Done only with intention these days, Im pretty sure.

My screen isn't there to show of devs design abilities. Generic and uninspired flat design is there to let me work.

(but I agree that it is a wrong way and a right way to do flat design)

Talking about overlays on top of content: Videoplayer overlays! Pops up every time the mouse move a pixel, darken the entire screen for some stupid reason, sometimes with some text or a huge play/pause icon, and sometimes just refuse to disappear until you've focused and unfocused the window again or done some other mystical ritual.

I LOVE flat and square design, but even I must admit you aren't wrong.

Must be better ways of doing it. Preferable without google's material design's over-reliance on shadows and floating stuff.

The entire video is worth watching, the history of "Plain text" from the beginning of computing.

I wouldnt call it backup. It is keeping versions of a file. Its keeping deleted files for a while, in the recycle bin. But you have to use the web interface to access those. Nor can you restore entire folders in one go, like File History could. File History works still, but one cant manually run the "delete all but the latest/last month/last year" job anymore. It just fails. The restore function works (well, I havent tested it after the new patch though).

Also, cloud copying the entire Documents folder? Theres so damn much crap and cache files put there. You gonna double your internet usage when playing some games, just for the cache files that is added, downloaded, changed, uploaded again and again. I'm glad I aint on a limit, but a lot of people in the rest of the world are.

Well, not everything. Just most of the big ones and slow adaptable ones.

Humans probably arent gonna survive, but viruses might. I know of a certain Agent who's gonna be looking forward to that.
