  • Plot twist: there are no biters, the planet just spits lava at you

  • Im not OP, but I'm 95% sure those commands are specific to the midjourney discord bot. I don't know if Bing passes command args like the discord bot does or if it just ignores them. Worth doing some experimentation though

  • --ar = aspect ratio
16:9 defines said aspect ratio of width:height (16:9 is standard computer monitor widescreen)

--s is "stylize" which controls the realism passes.
A lower value gives realistic images while higher values generates more cartoons, outlandish, "trippy" kinda images (75 is a very low value)

  • ...I thought you just said you're running OwnCloud?

  • Ohh yeah!

  • Dude's having the time of his life

  • I always make hot lemon-and-honey "tea" when it's fuck-off cold out. It's what my mom did for sore throats (which I did get, and still got, frequently in the winter) so it's super comforting.

Just squeeze about 1/2 of a lemon into a mug of hot water, then drizzle in honey to taste. Best done with a highly flavored local clover honey imo. And you can use a teaspoon or two of the storebought squeeze bottle lemon concentrate if its all you have.

  • Yeah I've got 141 messages waiting on my lemmy account that I can't be bothered to clear

I feel obligated to respond to most if not all of them because of lemmy's need for content, and I just don't wanna. But I also don't want to just clear them entirely. Some are dating back multiple months...

  • but don’t really see what’s wrong with the comment other than it goes against the political grain of the community (world news).

thats how it do be these days, unfortunately

you'll never get more explanation than that

  • I'd go to a compound in the woods with you, Mr. Picard 👉👈🥺

  • Go to the "Modlog" page at the very bottom of the web interface for your instance. You can search moderation tasks by username, such as your own, and it should show removed content.

I've found actual instance bans don't federate reliably though, e.g i cant see any of my lemmy.ml bans on lemmy.one. so you'd have to check the target instances by opening their web page in an incognito or logged-out browser window, and view their modlog directly instead of your home instances' modlog.

  • Don't make fun of someone asking for a source. That's called critical thinking.

  • #winning #hatersgonnahate #slayeveryday #girlboss

  • I should be allowed to post my nonsense and uninformed takes however I please and get ridiculed by the community for it, not outright quiet-banned by mods just because they didn't like me. I'm a big boy, I can take the heat.

  • Humanity will survive; society as we know it, or in any form higher than nomadic tribes, not so much.
Glad to know Reddit moderator behavior has carried over, it's just like old times!

  • Oh I know theres lots more out there. But I'm uber lazy and like my one comfy account with a specific set of subscribed comfy communities

  • I had about 6 in my inbox at one time, but they've all been lost to the winds of fediverse moderation at this point.

A vast majority of instances have defederated from hexbear/lemmygrad/etc by now. So you dont see nearly as much of them outside of the main lemmy.ml communities, and those that do end up outside them ususally get moderated out by local admins.

If you really are curious. Take a scroll through some of the comments on hexbears "dunk tank" like so. See how long you can read before closing the tab out of disgust. Most of them are commenting completely unironically.... (That thread is not Russia specific yes but I couldn't stomach to scroll down that community any farther. It gives you an idea.)

  • how do you convince someone that bitter coffee is not good coffee?

That's the neat part; you don't.

  • I really don't care, I actually thought it was kind of hilarious i was just yelling into a federated void for two weeks before my slow ass finally realized something was off lmfao hence the meme about the really bad moderation system

  • I have a feeling it was more of "that was the biggest instance when we all got started here so we all just stayed here". The prime-mover advantage for lemmy.world and lemmy.ml is pretty severe and it still shows in user counts/activity. It's just gotten more obvious over time what lemmy.ml admins (and by extension the developers of the platform) really support.
