  • Agreed. The userbase is a bit too homogeneous. Also if you say something remotely positive or try to bring some nuance to topics that have a strong circle jerk value on Lemmy you'll get downvoted into oblivion.

  • It baffles me the amount of pushback the $2 a month is getting. I guess it says alot about the demographic browsing Lemmy...I'm happy to support the dev. For the amount of time I've used on sync it's 100% worth every penny.

  • Realistically it's the only way he can sustain the development costs with such a small userbase. I've subscribed monthly to show my support. It's not really that much money considering how much I use sync.

  • I still visit reddit to get relevant info to cross post to the communities I'm keeping alive here on Lemmy. And I've noticed a significant decline in the subbs I used to frequent. I can't be the only one noticing this? I mean like it's extremely easy to notice as you might go days without content on several subreddits that used be active. They are niche subs, but still...
