I don't remember very much of "Of Mice and Men", and I don't remember very much of the math I learned in school either. I'm not mad about having learned/read that stuff, but I also don't feel bad about not remembering/using it since.
I don't think they really are "light years ahead of the right". Most of the difference as far as I can tell is in how they talk-- not what they do. Liberals fundamentally just believe in the status quo. MLK Jr saw it the same way when he described " the white moderate" as the greatest obstacle to change.
I'm definitely willing to engage liberals (and even conservatives) in honest conversation when I feel the context warrants the effort. Lemmy rarely seems to qualify.
Keep a "cheat sheet" of common commands printed out nearby-- either something from the internet and/or a custom one for your own commands.
Also, nobody can remember all the commands. We mostly just remember the ones we use most often. Otherwise, we have to look things up! It's not too bad since you know that the command exists and you just need to know the exact way to type it.
Find mnemonics to help remember certain things. For example if you want to decompress a .tar file, you remember "xtract zee file" or: tar -xzf
I specified the ones in my comment. I like chat support, but I understand it's not everyone's preference. I don't doubt your experience, just providing mine.
It's great you are so happy in life, and long may it last! My advice to you would be: learn to really listen to others. Find out about them, and how they experience the world.
Some of these points are inaccurate. Numbers 3 and 7 are definitely dependent on the app in question. I also rarely have to do anything in CLI, a recent update moved an issue I had with LE certs from the CLI to the web admin. As far as support, the forum can be inconsistent and the XMPP chat is more responsive. Dev team is in France though, so timezone can cause delays.
Start running servers if you haven't already. Use an old computer, or an SBC or VPS and setup some Linux servers. There's lots of different ways to do it, so mess around and break shit over and over. You can't help but learn that way, though I would highly suggest you take notes/documentation. This is a habit I'm trying to develop after too long :)
I've been vegan for almost 25 years, and vegetarian for couple years before that... and I'd be happy it existed, but I wouldn't eat it. I don't miss meat, and the idea of eating any of it just grosses me out.
