  • I find it funny that a lot of cyberpunk settings have rampant (usually legal) drug use because employers want you to perform at any cost but real life is a boring dystopia that demands worker suffering.

  • I boil them for about 15 minutes I think. Been a while since I made them. Why an ice bath? Just run under cold water while peeling.

I don't mean to imply you need to burn the fucker to cook it. I've eaten it all types of ways. I just hate liquid yolk. If I pop one the yolk runs all over and just ruins the dish for me.

  • Isn't asthma medication pretty cheap and long lasting? From what little I know an inhaler can last many months. Also if they can't afford that, surely they have state medical insurance to help with it? Just seems so scammy.

  • Wish I could have used Thunder but it didn't support older phones (think it was related to something about a certificate with Flutter???). I just use Connect now and customized it to be how Baconreader was for me. Been a great app so far.

  • I thought all dogs were smarter than people thought because my first one (Yorkie) was practically a little kid in how he could understand me. I could tell him to go somewhere and he'd do it. He let me know if he needed to pee outside or if he was hungry. Always surprised me how much a dog could understand!

Then I got a new one recently (Goldendoodle) and this little guy is a complete dumbass.

I suspect it may come down to experience though. Yorkie was already about 4 when we got him and only took about a year for me and him to really understand each other. The Doodle we got when he was only a little over a month old and we've had him close to a year but it has been a pain to train. Could also just be down to personality, because he has done some pretty intelligent things that surprised us.

  • I think it's more you as a person understand that the sentence is that, a sentence. You understand how the sentence is made, why it means what it means, not just what it means.

The dog only understands the what.

Doesn't mean you still can't help teach dogs to communicate. Even saw a segment recently on PBS about dogs learning to use buttons that produce words and using them to make short sentences to communicate with their owners.

  • Unfortunately 99% do suck ass these days. Rewind a decade and the Play Store used to have so many great games, even the free ones.

If you need decent mobile games:

    Space RPG series

Space Courser (not sure if it still exists)

    Space Traders: Frontiers

    Mindustry (free and open source!!!)

    BTD5 & 6 (personally I use the Netflix editions)

    Terraria

    Stardew Valley

    Deadcells

    Wizard of Legend

Villagers and Heroes (old school, small MMO cross platform with PC)

Albion Online (same as above but bigger and newer)

    World of Goo

    Hyperspace Delivery Service

Elder Scrolls Legends (I think it shutdown?)

    Polytopia

    Minecraft

    Gladiabots

Pokemon Showdown (technically a web app)

A whole assortment of console emulators!

  • Well shit that answers my question as well. I'd definitely set him straight on his "disappointing" because it doesn't seem like he respects an agreement.

Good luck separating that man child from his money at least.

  • Never been homeless but I'd definitely take it over slavery. It has to be better than being a flesh robot.

Not only is freedom priceless (my opinion), but I'm sure as hell not enriching someone else to my own detriment.
