you're conflating slavery with the slave trade and nations with people.
both are reprehensible, but the barbarity of the slave trade that americans engaged in is on an entirely genocidal & morally bankrupt level than the slavery practiced by some native americans and its practice was relagated individual members of native americans; not entire nations.
democrats had full control from 1993–1995, 2009–2011, 2021–2023 and majority control from 2011-2015 & 2023-2024. in other words: 12 years of complete or majority control out of the last 33 years.
every single time their agenda was thwarted by one or two lone dissenters within their caucuses; where republicans completely steamrolled over their own dissenters.
you owe it yourself to read up on american political history and; if you did; you would learn that every time they've had control of all 3 branches of government; they've squandered it by letting a one or 2 democrats derail all of their plans, meanwhile republicans steamroll over their own dissenters every time they're in control.
you'd start to see that this pattern keeps happening again and again.
i had been wondering why no one was prosecuting the soldiers and i'm glad to see it happening; but i also wonder if the icc will ever bother considering how they've been sanctioned over the netanyahu warrant.
... if the people elect not just a man like Trump to be President but also a majority in Congress to support him almost unconditionally, then the people get what they voted for.
this includes the democrats who vote for his candidates and bills.
oic, you're thinking that ww3 will need to happen for the united states to take over, but the united states is already in charge and the only ww3 we might have is w china.
the oniony layers of gaslighting are incredible here: the republicans won because the democrats didn't vote. there aren't enough split voters to even cover the gulf of voters that the democrats lost anymore and they lost it because of their support for the genocide.
our system has created enough mass desperation for force people to chose military service rather than living a future of destitution and that guarantees that we will never have another draft.
