  • I assume it's the same as the Internet (or more specifically HTTP): It wasn't designed with security in mind.

    Unlike HTTP, for some reason it wasn't included in a new specification, though. My guess is that's because of the more centralized nature of cellular networks. The barrier for entry is a lot higher as well so there are few but big players who have little incentive to improve over the bare minimum.

    IIRC encryption was initially proposed to be part of 5G but got shot down in the process.

    There is lots of copper (and other materials) rotting in our waste dumps. But as long as mining new ore is cheaper than recycling, tariffs or taxes are one way to stir the industry the right way.

    Yes, nowadays we pay indirectly for police and firefighters but no one is going to ask for your credit card or let alone how much tax you paid last year.

  • Both. We can't perceive the world exactly the same way as another person. Therefore, what we make of it is also individual and every point of view is valid in its own way.

    Take a Rorschach-Test, for example. There are examples most people can agree on, they show a specific thing. Others are wildly subjective. What a creator intends to invoke with their creation and what the audience receives are not necessarily the same, but that doesn't invalidate one side's interpretation.

A worker with a 40 hour work week and the mandates 28 days of paid vacation days worked 1784 hours in 2024. Therefore by dividing 60% of the median income per year with hours worked per year we get the targeted hourly pay: € 17.55/h.

    I am not sure why this seems to be an impossible task for you.
