  • Well for starters I wouldn't make the containment system an electric fence, have an electric fence by all means but have some physical metal rods as backup. Also maybe don't make the dinosaurs bulletproof.

Hammond probably got told that but decided it was too expensive. After all how often is the power likely to go on out on * and island frequently hit by hurricanes?

  • If you put high voltage electric fences around humans they're pretty well contained. The intelligence level of the dinosaurs was never relevant but the movie did kind of try and suggest that somehow the velociraptors were special simply because they were mildly more intelligent than the rest.

They made a big thing about how raptors can open doors, my cats can open doors.

  • If anything Jurassic park is basically a lesson in properly vetting your staff.

Everything that happened happened because Dennis was the only IT guy and basically could do whatever he wanted with zero oversight. It's not like the dinosaurs were going to break out on their own, even the raptors only got out because the fences were turned off.

  • How much would it alter things if the Marbles were all replaced with exact replicas at the British Museum?

What would be the point in doing that? There are lots of replicas in museums but they tend to get labelled as such and they serve a purpose beyond just looking at them. The truth is the British public don't really care about the Marbles, so if they went back to Greece I don't think the museum would really need to put up a replacement.

Look at York Museum practically everything in there is replica, it's all for the purpose of demonstrating history.

  • I can already speak to my cat. It's not really an enlightening conversation it's basically him demanding food, or he wants to go outside, or he wants better food than the food provided.

That's basically the extent of his conversation skills.

I mean he's a cat, he's not exactly going to talk about politics with me is it even if we could translate between our "languages"

  • No you don't.

You get paid some money, you don't get paid your normal salary. Is basically only an advantage if you work at McDonald's, If you're lucky your work will let you take it as holiday and still pay you themselves, but I don't think they're under any requirement to.
