It’s an old Nixon trick. Actually an old Truman trick, using the US military in un-declared wars started with the Korean conflict, but Nixon and Kissinger really amped things up with their secret war in Cambodia.
Also, “give away” typically means $0. $89000 is to the best of my knowledge larger than $0. I’ll bet he could give it away, but he doesn’t want to do that.
I worked with an autistic kid for a couple years whose grandmother insisted that eating red dye made him very agitated. I didn’t really buy it but kept foods with red dye away from him. One day he got his hands on another kid’s food that had red dye and he went BONKERS for the next couple hours. So red dye making some kids act crazy is real.
Unless I’m missing something, the charges have already been made and he’s given his plea. It’s federal charges (terrorism) and it’s my understanding that the state couldn’t then charge him over the same crime, only other crimes that were significantly different.
50% socially acceptable self destruction (eating too much of the wrong things) and 50% dissociating while exercising (in hopes the collapse happens soon enough to make my physical fitness relevant.)
