The Linux Experiment, has been going for over 7 years now. But it was one guy's journey into Linux. Be wary he transitioned to full time Linux YouTuber/influencer nowadays, with way less emphasis on the transition and more on the overall news on the FLOSS scene. The content has their dips and highs, and he does have some clickbait opinions from time to time.

Find an old laptop. Install TrueNAS community edition. Read about containerized server apps. There are alternatives like Mint if you still want to have and learn a desktop experience. Read online blogs. Ask here if any further questions arise. Avoid dual booting until you are comfortable with installing an OS and handling grub.

Locks are just as effective as the people wielding the keys.

Chips are implants that go under the skin. Most civilized places require pets to have them in urban places.

The Linux experience is a spectrum. Just like owning a car, sure there are people who own custom hotrods. But there are also enterprise level work trucks that can carry thousands of tons. There's all sorts if in between, including small town cars, hatchbacks and buses. Just like they're all vehicles of all different sorts, there's also all sorts of Linux.

Buy System76 or Framework laptops and you'll never have a driver problem. Use a stable user friendly distro like Mint and your experience will be smooth sailing. Use an immutable distro and you cannot wreak your system. Hire a pro data center and they'll set you up with enterprise level servers. TrueNAS sells hardware and also distributes a high compatibility community Linux distro for NAS.

Now, use a niche experimental distro packaged by a single developer on their free time. Well, don't act surprised if it breaks.

I've never in 15 years of Linux use and tinker have ever screwed a kernel. And I compiled LFS once.

People underestimate the huge impact and importance that people give to touch and proprioception. Physical inputs will always be orders of magnitude far more satisfying than waving hands in the air without feedback.

They are vet masks. They are generic and come on different sizes. The largest one can fit several small animals. The smallest ones are for cats and tiny dogs. Just because they are private doesn't mean Gabe doesn't like to make a ton of money. Dude owns tons of yacths and would like to own more. I love Valve and think they are the biggest ethical company in gaming. But they're still a massive corporate monopoly. No one is perfect, and they did do things that hurt people. No need to be publicly traded to also be evil. Trust but verify.

In my office there's one prototype model under testing that nobody uses and does nothing useful. Anything else is actually banned, we handled way too sensitive information. It causes office and outlook to glitch often when it tries to open copilot and get immediately slapped silly to shut up. The blinking blank windows are annoying though. Even worse, we know that sexual repression just pushes people into more extreme and unusual sexual practices in adulthood. Just give children comprehensive sexual education already. It prevents unwanted pregnancies, sexual abuse and mental illness.
