  • It works short term. If you have a deadline tomorrow by all means.

Long term you need to be aware of not just the code but the theory behind the code. You can make it work if you're promoting what you need and read the result, understand it and test it but if we pure vibe coding is probably too much. How are you gonna solve problems when you don't fully understand how things work?

Another thing, a lot of AI generated code solves the problem in the most obvious often bad way. For example I asked the AI for help with an ORM limitation I was running into and so many times the code it suggested was just query the db, then filter in code afterwards

  • Back in reddit in r/languagelearning whenever someone asked this question without giving any context about who they are or what they want out of language learning there was a long running joke to reply with "Uzbek"

    You should learn Uzbek.

  • Cockroaches. It was bad. They were everywhere. You couldn't open a door without them falling from the cracks in the doorframe on your face.

Boric acid is what helped as recommended by reddit. We used to clean, and spray with Pyrethrins before that but that only kills the visible ones. Most of the roaches are in their holes and you'll never reach them like that.

What's great about boric acid is that it kills slowly meaning they can infect each other before they die in a chain reaction. They infect even the hidden ones when they go groom each other.

So clean the area, dry it, then just spread the powder where they usually hang out. It'll take a week to notice any effects. Apply again if area gets wet.

Another great thing is unless you ingest a huge amount or inhale it in your lungs, boric acid is mostly safe for humans. Unlike the sprays which always gave us symptoms.

  • Yeah that was a letdown for sure. Still better than releasing it as a mobile game I think.

If you haven't heard they recently released the source code of C&C generals and zero hour and there's multiple efforts working on a community patch.

I've been watching the competitive scene of zero hour for a few years now. It's really exciting and now that the source code's out, sky's the limit on what we can achieve.

  • Me neither, but someone commented here it's a holdover from the days of forums where a new reply to an old thread would instantly put that thread at the top of the forums because the order was always latest reply. This was found annoying by some people especially if the new reply was short and meaningless or something. Makes more sense to me now.
