Atlantic Salmon populations have been doing fine and have an LC conservation status. Most of the issues with other salmon are in the populations off of the US West Coast.
Alaska has been seeing their populations increase in large part due to government hatcheries and wildlife management.
I have a rule about being constructive, so I can't ask any questions right now because all the questions that I have right now are rhetorical and they end with the word idiot.
Do you know what a rhetorical- No, of course you don't know what that is, you're an idiot.
I'm sorry! I am so sorry, but you're so stupid. You have no idea, and you're the only one who has no idea, because guess why?
Don't answer that. You'll get it wrong. Aw, so dumb. You're just a dumb little man who tries to destroy this school every minute.
BK was also a leader in cross-promotion. In 1977, they ran commercials using Star Wars advertising while selling glasses with the characters from the film.
Movie studios have been using paid promotions for products since the 90s. Iirc the very first paid movie tie-in was in ET. The studio had planned on using M&Ms in the film but were rejected by Mars. Hershey's heard about this and paid them to instead use Reese's Pieces in the movie.
It's fair to hate it, I usually do, but it happens all the time. The only one I can think of that I liked was 30 Rock, especially with their Snapple product placement.
It doesn't matter that we have exceptions in the law. All abortion clinics have shut down here. The law itself is also intentionally vague in order to scare away any doctor who attempts to follow it.
Yep. Make it so the mods choose to "federate" with the other communities. Otherwise you might have something like news@america.site and news@europe.site which would merge despite having two different purposes.
Fwiw, the digital cameras they invented were rather garbage. Most were up until a couple decades ago and didn't even really become serviceable until about 10-15 years ago.
But Kodak never wanted to get into the digital business and did everything they could to stop it. They made most of their profits from selling film and the equipment and chemicals to develop them.
Number one rule of working with clients during the holiday season is that you don't wish them Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, or anything else unless they say it first.
When the US does it it's just established practise. When a non-US entity does the same thing, it's suddenly a matter of national security.
Even as someone with a healthy distrust for the Chinese government, this really is the reason why. If Facebook was Chinese and nothing else changed, the US government would feel the same way.
TikTok is used as a surveillance tool in China but US social media is also used the same way here. I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook at the very least donated public profile pictures to the FBI for facial recognition purposes.
The US would react the same for almost any other government with exceptions to the Five Eyes, in which case they wouldn't care, and Russia, in which case it would be fully banned.
Not to claim that the US government and the Chinese government are the same, though. Only more or less from a spying and surveillance perspective.
