  • No.

Its a stalemate. JD Vance accomplished what he needed to rally Republicans to this cause. Which is to shit on the moderators and make it sound like Walz and the Moderators are in cahoots. Worse, this kind of meta-debate is on-brand for the Republican strategy.

This is why fact-checking is so hard, because when you do it wrong it solidifies a huge number of Americans against the fact-checker and can even rally them to JD Vance's side.

  • Harris's body language was far superior to Trump's. And is part of why she crushed him so completely.

EDIT: Body language is incredibly important to QAnon btw, because QAnon believes that JD Vance is not free to speak his mind. So these nods and looks JD Vance are doing are non-verbal acknowledgements that also plays to the whole "Q" and "Deep State" shit. Yadda-yadda.

I'm not sure if you're recognizing the threat this body language actually is, or the role its playing in this debate. Tim Walz certainly looks completely ignorant to it all (or at least, doesn't want to deal with it). This is JD Vance literally leaning into Q-shit and rallying it.

  • Image, body language. Looking at the camera with the "Marine Stare" to show off with body language his disdain for a particular topic or response from Walz (while Walz's body language was not nearly as effective at showing JD Vance's weird shit).

If you're not aware of what "Republicans see as weird", well... guess what?? JD Vance is, and he's able to rally people with just a glance. It was clearly effective. Though perhaps in a "deeper" political look / visual communication cue rather than actual talking.

JD Vance is the complete package. Walz is well spoken but not quite as emoted and not as good of a reaction to JD Vance.

Don't get me wrong, JD Vance is fucking nuts. But if you're not seeing JD Vance's good performance here, you're at risk at underestimating the scope of the problem here.

EDIT: Like... base things. The things people care about. Like, "Who looked more like a soldier" (especially on the meta-topic of JD Vance service record vs Tim Walz's service record), JD Vance looked more like a soldier. Base things that appeal to the ID and not logic. JD Vance is spot on on these issues.

I don't think it matters because Donald Trump is the actual topic of discussion. But JD Vance's performance is better than you'd think within a Republican mindset.

Its fine because Walz didn't need to win this debate. Walz just needed to punt and he's accomplished that. JD Vance isn't going to turn all of Trump's ills away with one good debate performance either (especially since Walz wasn't crushed or defeated).

Walz needed to introduce his personality to the country. And Walz did that. Good. Take the W for what it is, but don't overplay your hand here. This isn't like the Harris v Trump debate where Harris crushed Trump. This is actually slight win to JD Vance IMO but Walz is good enough to not damage Harris's campaign kinda debate.

  • No. Republicans loved that Vance pushed back here.

This is not the win yall think it is.

Walz did fine. Not as good as JD Vance but I at least wasn't expecting Walz to do as well as JD Vance. Yall got the election if you keep the topic on Trump. Don't get distracted here, especially when its an L or at best, stalemate on your image.

  • There is a reasonably large silver community who prefers physical coin or rounds rather than certificates, shares or other more virtual/abstract forms of wealth.

There is a visceral and instinctive feeling when the value is purely in your hands and you can feel it.

Still, silver collectors/traders don't give a shit about the design. Commemorative coins are fine if they are roughly the melt value (paying a few % over melt value is common MSRP) but anything beyond that is fully bullshit.

Official silver coins (American Eagle) have government guarantees on the purity of silver, size of the coin, and other attributes. So those are far easier in practice. But silver rounds or bullion are still common.

  • Donald Trump has given up on most states and has a singular path to victory.

But as Trump's team noticed: he can safely give up on most parts of this country and still win, even with fewer votes, as long as Trump wins North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.

So that's the thing: the only votes that really matter are those three states, unless Harris flips something outlandish like Florida or Texas.

So Harris will be surging in the days and weeks ahead. Trump's team is focusing on the electoral college win, which gives him and Republicans a distinct advantage. That's why the race remains close.

These three states are where Trump and his team are spending the most money. So I expect the race to remain close there. Harris has lots and lots of money, she's already saturated the three main battleground states. She's got so much money its appropriate for her team to focus on longer-shot / less likely states, to help solidify the electoral college / provide an alternative path in case Trump wins the three main states.

  • Except Trump's famous "They're eating cats and dogs" line came from JD Vance. The craziest part of the debate wasn't even Trump's to fully own. JD Vance quite possibly is worse than Trump in regards to likability.

So if Trump drops out, who the fuck in the Republican field replaces him? Ron Desantis?

  • That Abdul situation completely surprised me. I can't believe how bad a flub that was.

That's what I'll be meming moving forward. Not only did Trump admit to working with the Taliban, he made up fake people while doing so.

  • There's a lot to pick out here.

My favorite personally (as a Neocon) is Trumps utter flubbing of the Afghanistan question. Harris criticized Trumps handling of Afghanistan by inviting the fucking Taliban to Camp David.... While Trump talked about imaginary Taliban members he talked with.

    Who the fuck is Abdul?

Trump not only admitted to working with the Taliban directly, but was so fucking braindead he couldn't even remember the name of the guy he invited to Camp David. This is going to be my meme.

But it doesn't matter what moment you meme. What matters is that you MUST meme these moments and spread them far and wide. We will consolidate on what works afterwards.

  • We need to get ahead of this. In a few short hours, maybe just a day or two, they will consolidate support around Trump again.

Our job is to meme the best lines of Trump's insanity as much as possible, and spread the message far and wide. Trump is easily manipulated by Kamala. Trump's only leaders he respected tonight were Venezuela and Hungary / Orban. I dunno, I'm bad with memes. But you all get the gist.

/r/conservative will get itself together shortly. But we need to spike the football tonight.

  • Any sane member of society not in a cult remembers.

No. There's plenty of people who forgot, and more importantly, plenty of 18-year-olds (or younger) who were not yet politically awake when that happened. That was over 6 years ago, when these 18-year-olds were 12 and not even in high-school yet.

Its our job to meme Kamala's response to this. Kamala brought it up in today's debate, and we now need to teach the world about her response. Direct from her mouth.

And we also need to meme Donald Trump's insane response to the Camp David discussion point. The young voters won't learn unless we teach it to them.

And there's plenty of ~16 to 25 year olds who are "only waking up politically today", who need to be shown this history and context.

  • I’d give you a length explanation about statistical methodology and validity, but I’d rather not to that unsolicited, lol.

I know how complex it is.

I'm approximately college-level statistics. But my sister is literally PH.d level in health-statistics (or more precisely: public health) and worked at the CDC and today works for FDA. Trust me, I get plenty of the advanced discussions / paradoxes / autocorrelation / etc. etc. stuff. So I know I'm out of my league in the overall matter, and that I'm oversimplifying.
