  • Lol I recently have found the opposite!

  • Try F-Droid, there's some good quality games in their listing, and it's a lot more transparent than the Play store.

There's also a lot more indies (whether new or old) that have made it to mobile, like Stardew Valley, Terraria and Dungeon Clawler, so it's worth checking out the "premium" category on the Play store to find some decent games too

  • I think the best one is a11y (accessibility) because it looks like ally so it's easier to remember

  • Psychological torture!

  • PET. THE. CAT.

  • It's Danish. Here's the full image showing more buttons in Danish:

  • That's not review bombing, that's just leaving a negative review because the experience has turned negative.

They should direct their complaints at MS if that's what broke their game, but I don't expect the average Assassin's Creed player to understand the difference.

  • While 32" will mean less pixel density, it all hinges on your viewing distance as to which one will look better in any scenario.

  • I know this is the shit posting community, but I'm going to say it anyway: it's about the balance between the two.

Yes, everyone's experience is unique and what works for one does not work for another.

That being said, an outside perspective might help you figure things out better because they are more objective and less emotionally attached.

Second, there are professionals and experts that can tell you a lot of things you didn't know, and while not all have to be applicable, it's important to weigh their perspective in.

Its about balancing your own experiences with the insight and advice from others.

If you're just going to blindly refute anyone who's trying to help you figure out your laces because you keep tripping over them, you're not gonna be having a good time.

  • I think it depends on the instance. Some instances like to import a bunch of Reddit communities, sometimes with a slightly different name, and then start copying posts made on the subreddit to the lemmy community to get the ball rolling.

I wouldn't go as far as blocking instances, but blocking communities that you aren't interested in can go a long way to customize your feed with more original content

  • Can't win them all I suppose! Had a similar thing happen to me recently, and trying to add nuance or explain yourself is usually frowned on for some reason, so it's best to just move on. Hope your holidays are treating you well!

  • As someone who's never used Apple devices I was a bit peeved when my car came with an iPod. I spent days trying out random 3rd party software because I refused to use iTunes. In the end, I settled for CopyTrans software.

You still need to have the iTunes services installed afaik, but you can use this program to put music on your device, pad out the meta info on the MP3 files and sync the playlists without having to open iTunes at all.

Maybe not entirely the answer you were looking for, but it was a workable solution for me after days of trial and error, so I'm hoping I can save you those troubles.

  • I agree with your guess, and while you say snarkily, I read it as a light hearted jab at the absurdity of the situation.

Relaying meaning, intent and emotion over text is hard.

  • Sounds like it does the opposite of what OP wants:

I stopped counting after 2000+ vendors

  • Will you sacrifice your grandparents for the economy?

  • Trust earned! She looks content :)

  • I got a book that was recommended on Lemmy! It's called Blindsight by Peter Watts and I mentioned the book to family and they got it :) Original post: https://lemmy.world/post/22134494
