Oh man I'm in Ohio and sometimes I'll overpay for a few avocados and they're all bad. When I can find quality avocados at a decent price I feel like I won the lottery.
Most don't want to do it because it's messy. Our church was trying to do it but funds were a problem. We needed an additional insurance policy, 24 hour staffing, and some facility upgrades to meet regulation. We didn't have the finances for it.
Or you want to communicate that a highly upvoted thing isn't unanimously supported, but you don't want the tsunami of downvotes that comes with leaving a comment that says you disagree.
I'd say price is definitely a factor. I already pass over good cuts of meat for that reason. Also taste/texture/overall experience. If it checs those boxes, and it has been on the market long enough to be confident I won't get instant cancer, then 100%! A little marbled fat makes it better though.
I wear hats 99% of days, but I am going to be unemployed in a week so maybe you're on to something. My near-perfect SATs might argue but it's not an excellent argument.
I don't really believe that. It cost us $10 billion just to provide free lunches to kids for a year during covid. I think we should spend that every year. But the cost of housing is much higher unless you're planning housing with no HVAC or energy costs. Even if that number were theoretically real, it clearly isn't accounting for inflation, or the potential increase in homeless population when they start providing free housing.
Fuck Elon, but also there's absolutely zero chance you can solve homelessness with $20b unless you're just building tent cities with no other resources available there.
I almost never use digital payments. Between the processing fees and lack of privacy, cash is always better for both parties. You spend less when you carry cash also.
I didn't learn this until I heard Post Malone/HARDY's "Hide My Gun" with the lyric, "If the three times four's banging at our door, would you stall and let me slip out the back?"
Which overall the whole song almost works as a Luigi theme song.
I thought it came from when there's police going by you tell people to keep their heads at 12. Don't look at them or they'll accuse you of being "suspicious" and want to detain you and run your ID for warrants etc
Glad it was for someone, I guess.
