  • With my washer I get undissolved detergent if I don't mix it with water before adding clothes. It's not a huge deal but sometimes I'm tossing it in in a hurry and my teenagers don't take the time to do it and then complain. Also teenagers can be very smelly and I have a little loyalty to a brand that seems to do a better job on the smell than others I've tried. I second your recommendation though for most people. I used to have a job doing laundry and the powdered detergent we used with the commercial washers worked great.

  • I have a decent list of software I need it for unfortunately so I'm keeping my best PC on Windows, but I have four PCs in the house. I've been running Linux on one of them for a couple years but the other two will be moved over by Windows 10 EOL.

  • Yeah I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets but a good value size jug of detergent is worth it to me. My wife and I both work two jobs., I don't want to spend any time grating soap.

  • Not at all defending Israel s actions, but it's really easy to radicalize a group when all of the nations that surround you want to wipe your nation off the map. It really isn't a surprise how many people are okay with the genocide in that context. The whole situation is a shit show.

  • I don't know, I'm tired of double standards. If women can wear skin tight clothing, men should be able to have their cocks on display underneath thin stretchy material too. By this standard, boxers are modest.

  • Wild boar are invasive, violent and destructive. Our local conservation groups practically beg you to hunt them, and boar season is 51 weeks a year. If you're going to hunt pig, you might as well eat it. But farm raised pigs definitely taste better.

  • I know this post was from a few weeks ago. The PC is still working perfectly with its old PSU. My guess was the one case fan that was completely seized was drawing too much power or causing a short. I may still replace his PSU since I already have a good replacement, but I might wait until I have a GPU upgrade for him and just build a new rig for him. I pass my video cards down to my kids as I upgrade.

People in the comments had mentioned I didn't really explain what it was doing. It would spin up the fans for about two seconds and then shut down, it wasn't posting. That motherboard doesn't have a code display, it will give beep codes for some errors but it wasn't beeping, it just powered down. Whatever, it's working well again, and as old as it is, it runs the games he plays very well at 1080p/60fps which is all his monitor supports so I'm not in a hurry to build him a new rig just yet.

  • I'm playing Fallout 4 right now. It's not the only game I play by any means. Too many new games are overly focused on graphics or monetization. I'm always trying new games and the better ones often don't have the best graphics. We want 2010 gameplay. Hell, I'll still play Unreal Tournament 1999 GOTY edition, but older games usually need resolution and texture upgrade mods. Fortunately a lot of great old games actually get them.

  • I don't spend times on games that need a guide. Put clues in your games if that's what you're doing. I work way too much to learn every consequence of in game decisions that aren't at least hinted at. Reading a guide is just spoiling. Make good fucking games. If you give me a 20 hour gotcha I'll never play it again and tell others not to bother.
