True, but have you ever seen it depicted where someone transported into a solid object wasnt basically killed? Outside of whatever mechanism somehow explains the background air/insects/etc?
My guess is that easily movable things are explained by some vague bubble or displacement mechanism where the transported person/object starts as a point and as long as the medium is compressible or movable, things just shift out of the way to make room. As long as it's not instantaneous, and the object isn't gigantic, there's no risk of moving into to area to fast and at most there is some air movement associated with the shift.
The alternative is that the displaced environment trades places with the transported object, so the air/bugs/parts of the wall show up where the person/object transported from. Guessing this mechanism isn't since it opens up a lot of options like using it for mining or kidnapping/theft/etc.
I think I'm normal teleporting scenarios it doesn't allow you to teleport into 'objects', though obviously there has to be some exception for air or it's basically worthless. I don't think I've ever seen any scenario where you displace anything other than gas?
This has been a really long 'day one' process. Pretty soon his 'i will stop the war my first day in office' will rival putins plan to conquer Ukraine in 3 days.
Possibly because the consequences 'evil' people get is effectively more like living in their own shit than external punishment. If you only look at direct repercussions it looks like they're making it pretty well, and even by their own estimates it might seem like that, but they're really just rising to the top of a story social scale. If you value that it will be frustrating.
You just mean they would have different standards. Dogs will happily eat shit and we happily chew mint which supposedly will keep entire species away from an area. If they were sentient robots would obviously be attracted and deterred by different things than we would.
That's fine, it's the group that makes giving worthwhile not necessarily each individual. There will always be those who only take, and some who seem to only give. Build things because there is a chance that you will benefit by how others extend it before you die if that makes it seem better, but we usually benefit by progress and the chance of guessing which progress it will be it's almost always wrong.
So you're anxiety isn't because they can't control the trait, but because you can't control or direct the impulse. Makes sense, because you are being directed by an unknown force.
Or doesn't even beat the alternative, just doesn't get beaten by the alternative too badly. Lots of traits that just 'don't get washed out' or are even a distinct disadvantage but occur alongside an advantage.
Ha, cpa exam being easy aside, the biggest hurdle with sql is finding data handling interesting which you seem to be in the right position for. Good luck on your journey and feel free to ping for any questions or just to chat
It explains it, it doesn't excuse it. If your brain snaps and suddenly you perceive something as a rational thing to do you don't really have control at that point. Basically just points to punishment or treatment, not a get out of jail card.
Isn't that kind of what he's saying? Maybe don't rush to judgement because there might be more to it?
Not that it makes a significant amount of difference aside from treatment, he's obviously a danger to society whether the cause was medical or otherwise. At that extreme you might argue that it's mental health disorder range whether it's diagnosed as something specific or not.
Kind of two different things. You didn't ask what mental health emergency he was specifically having, you asked what kind would explain it. That would definitely explain it
So it sounds like they may be emulating you for their own reasons. Anger can sometimes seem like strength even though it's rarely even a primary emotion, just an output for a different emotion that is more difficult or embarrassing to express like fear or frustration.
I know you say you can't help how you feel, but it might still be worth acknowledging that you recognize that it's detrimental expression so you don't drag them down. You may not be able to help it in the moment but that doesn't mean you don't recognize it afterwards and have the opportunity to acknowledge it.
On the other hand if you really think it's justified and you shouldn't have to apologize i would strongly encourage you to think of the analogy of someone doing the same thing but physically. If you went around kicking and punching everyone who you felt was weaker and needed 'toughening up', you might be just as justified, but could maybe understand why people would tend to shy away from you. Not everyone, some people like the abuse and some take shelter by being the bullies friend hoping they'll be protected from the worst of it if they join in.... And they desperately want friends too.
Awesome, if you have any questions, shoot. Started down that rabbit hole 20 years and never really came up for air :)
Actually it just leads to many more data type manipulation, SQL, VBA connecting to the other Microsoft app, etc. never regretted it aside from the 3am sessions trying to figure out one more thing, which leads to one more thing... But then that is the rabbit hole piece.
Btwa boolean is just data stored in a single bit, either a 1 or a 0 on the backend, but usually presented as something more obvious to the user like yes/no, true/false, on/off etc
