  • Depends on which vaccine. There are two agencies, there is the VICP and the CICP. The VICP only covers a short list of vaccines that doesn't include COVID. (https://www.hrsa.gov/vaccine-compensation/covered-vaccines). COVID vax is covered by the CICP and doesn't pay anything out for pain and suffering, only your medical bills for what your insurance didn't cover from treatment.

  • Have you hit a deer before or almost hit them in the dark? Yes absolutely 60mph will shorten your stopping distance and reaction time but not nearly enough. Even at 35mph people hit deer all the time because they typically jump out in front. But much faster than 35mph and even standing still in the middle of the road they're tough to see and stop for. 60mph, not a chance.

  • Please do the needful.

This one really grinds my gears! I think it's because the person can't even be bothered to describe what they want you to do, just go fix it and don't bother me with any details.

  • It was my steam deck that convinced me to just wipe windows from my laptop and install Kubuntu which is basically the same as steamOS. I had no idea Linux desktop was so good these days. Bye bye windows! I love my steam deck but I also still need a laptop form factor, I can't always dock it and use it as my PC.

  • The reason there is a "party system" at all is because of our voting system. It forces a two party system and if you don't listen to the parties you'll throw your vote away. If we switch to Ranked Choice Voting this wouldn't be a problem anymore and we'd be able to actually elect the most popular candidate.

  • Interesting, I started with DeWalt, have never had 1 single issue and I have about 10 different tools. But I've always wanted to switch to Milwaukee because I like red better than yellow, but I'm in too deep with DeWalt 😂

  • $10,000 a year to provide a single person housing? To put that in perspective. I'd assume that means a studio type apartment of some kind. Not high end, but a roof and place to live for $10,000 a year. I have a 1500sqft home in Washington state on 3 acres of land, and I pay $27,000 a year for my mortgage. So to me, $10,000 seems reasonable for a government funded studio for a year.

  • Voting gives us no control with the current party system. We need ranked choice voting, end campaigns and advertising. Only 1 website will have the candidates and their platforms, tax funded only, anyone who wants to run can run and ranked choice voting will make the actual most popular acceptable candidate win.

  • I've done a similar build out in my Northern Lite camper. 800w on the roof and 400ah of lithium. I want to convert the fridge to an electric compressor fridge and the stove over to induction next. I hate it when the batteries fill back up by 10am and I waste solar meanwhile I am still buying propane for the appliances.

  • I've too have tried giving stuff away for free and I always the worst experience, unappreciative people who want to manipulate any way they can, or no show etc.

But when I post it for a low price it completely removes that group and suddenly I get nice people who have wanting this thing for so long but struggled to afford it and they will go out of their way to meet up. Usually I just giving it to them free after they've been so easy to work with and their mind gets blown. They show initiative, they work hard for what they want and get rewarded for it. This is the way.

  • I recently upgraded to the new GE all in one washer dryer. Removes a massive step of having to move clothes between dryer and washer. Toss em in, and 2 hours later they're done. Best part is they can be tossed in before bed and ready in the morning for work!
