The only thing Perez has caught recently is Covid, and Im amazed he managed that

If i'm remembering right, they double stacked and did 2.1 max, 2.0 checo

and then next stop they did 1.9 on max, 2.0 on checo

Max's timing with DRS zones is so damn good. The way he ensures he has a full DRS to build up 1 second before the other car gets DRS is nuts.

Lando so busy trying to squeeze max he gave George a tow and a ton of space on the outside

safety car just as the rain arrives, this is gonna be mega interesting

he's not doing himself any favours that he is still sitting 16th.. isn't even making up places in the backfield

Its like his tyres suddenly found 2 laps worth of total sweet spot

Like why did Red Bull not take a punt with Perez, faster cars, on wet tyres, he could have made up a ton of places if it worked out.

Totally understand why Haas made the call on wets, surprised more lower teams didn't try it

But equally surprised they put both drivers on wets.. smart choice for lower field runners surely would be split strategy?

I'm sorry, but this is why you dont give someone who's grossly under-performing a 2 year contract at this point of the season.

You use the possibility of a contract to motivate and then reward performance

You dont give the contract and hope that motivates them to perform

I mean at least its distracted from Horner, everyones laughing at Checo now

i mean, you can slow down the second car before hitting the pits and then crawl in the pit lane, only needs a 5 second gap or so

Aaaaaand Max already has a gap you could fit half the F2 grid in

If Red Bull do that, then F1 will start bringing a whole raft of rule changes mid season to try an screw over Red Bull and make them slower

(I mean they tried to do that last year with the floor rulings, but Red Bull ended up getting even better)
