  • I agree that increased range would be better - I’ve had cars (diesel) that could get nearly 600 miles on one tank and that allows you to do a lot more wandering though the countryside that is just not possible in an ev in the rural US. But it’s way more than 20 miles. Did you mean 200 miles?

I’m currently on a road trip in my 2021 EV and it can definitely be made to work, but it is definitely limiting on any spontaneous side excursions you find, which can be a pretty big bummer.

Double the range would definitely be appreciated for my use cases.

  • In New Hampshire Biden wasn’t even on the ballot and won handily by write in against his primary opponents. I’ve only heard that there are 3 states in which Biden is the only candidate - and that’s because other candidates didn’t qualify.

Also, I’ve not seen any fantastic primary contenders step forward anyway. What makes you think Biden is “historically unpopular” enough to be the incumbent and be voted out in the primary?

  • Are you saying they shocked themselves plugging something in? Or putting something else into the outlet.

The plug itself is not really easy to shock yourself on, you’d have to intentionally try to do it by putting something behind it to bridge the pins, or have a broken plug or something, so that’s why I am saying this seems incorrect.

I definitely knew some dumbasses that would attempt to creat a power arc, but they were certainly not the majority.

  • You’re asking them to do work and open up their chat platform to other devices that are outside of their ecosystem and they have no os level control over. The security aspect of this in itself makes this not something “incredibly basic and easy”.

On top of that, there’s literally no benefit for them to do it. There are plenty of third party options for chat out there, and again, clamoring for them to do this work and maintain a product while still maintaining security for no return is entitled and unrealistic.

People making this argument show themselves to be naive to how software development and business in general works.

  • You are absolutely correct. I’m an iOS user and have absolutely no qualms using anyone’s preferred message app (as long as it’s not WhatsApp, fuck fb).

People have always hated on apples Windows apps, the same is probably true if they have to start making android apps too.

It’s literally the correct decision for them not to make an iMessage for android, the only people demanding it are the people who aren’t buying their products!

  • It’s always android users complaining about this. Why should Apple care if its users don’t?

I’m an iOS user and I use iMessage with some people, discord with some people, telegram with some people and Skype with some people and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest to do so. It’s not even cumbersome to do so, the contacts show up on the same share screen regardless of platform.

If the people you are communicating with don’t care enough to send something to you in a format that works for you, that’s on them, not on Apple.

Demanding that Apple make an app for android so that you can use their service without paying for their product reeks of entitlement though.

  • Years ago I used to get frequent ear infections and my doctor recommended a 50 percent solution of alcohol and white vinegar. She also mentioned I could buy this same solution at the pharmacy premixed as a treatment for swimmers ear, at a much higher cost. I have been mixing my own and using it ever since at the first suggestion of an earache and haven’t had a true ear infection since.

The whole point of going to a doctor is that they are educated to help us with these types of problems. You want one that just flings a random expensive prescription at you? Fine, look for a doctor that does that. I’ll keep my doctor who understands that not all of us want to throw away money though.
