  • There’s a phrase “you get what you pay for”. You’re comparing buying stuff because it was cheap to buying stuff that is more expensive but you're saying the reason it’s better is because it’s made in america. Perhaps it’s just a higher quality product and priced accordingly, and it has nothing to do with its country of origin.

  • If he's hired as a "diversity hire" (AKA unqualified) then it has absolutely everything to do with it and I'm baffled that you can't see that.

There’s no way a real person is this stupid right? This must be a bot.

But just in case - he was voted into office, not a “diversity hire” as you so racistly suggest.

  • So I’ve been reading your comments and I hear what you are saying but I kinda feel like this goes beyond adhd and into something else.

What, I’m not sure. I can only speak from my experience, but I never feel like I have to adjust my behavior for anyone else. I am unaware of time, things not directly in front of my eyes, how loud I get, yes, but no one else notices or cares about these things, or in the case that they do, they tell me.

It seems like you’re saying you are constantly questioning everything you do (correct me if I’m wrong)- and if so, that’s not sustainable, and not something you should have to be doing. That puts an incredible amount of pressure and stress on you. This would be horrible for a neurotypical person but for someone with adhd even more so! We have too many things going on in our minds already to be able to worry about stuff like that all the time on top of it!

I almost wonder if your fear about how you might be affecting others is outsized because of a traumatic experience or chain of experiences in childhood or earlier in your life?

  • What they wanted was no cell research at all. But that wasn’t politically possible, and it wasn’t because other members of the GOP didn’t want it. So he “compromised” by saying they could still use the existing lines but no future lines could be created. You’re acting like the GOP was okay with this, they were not. This was a compromise because it’s was the best they could do at the time, and it still got some of the research banned.

Sure Nancy Reagan was outspoken about it but it was not the GOP.

  • It was a compromise that siad that some aborted corpses were okay.

They stopped any further lines from being created. What do you not understand about this? It was already ongoing research, and they put a stop to it for political purposes. Even if this calls it a “compromise” it meant that no further lines (no new fetal tissue) could be used.

Portraying GWB as someone who was fighting for stem cell research rather than against it is flat out false.

  • Yeah, the circlejerking and dog piling from people who have no idea what they are talking about is actually far worse here than it was at Reddit - but just know, we aren’t all as misinformed as these people. You’re absolutely correct.
