  • Her lawsuit, filed in 2021, alleged that she met a man in his thirties on Omegle who forced her to take naked photos and videos over a three-year period. She was just 11 when it began in 2014.

Not all methods of force are physical. This was an adult talking to an 11 year old. 11 year olds have in many cases not had enough life experience to understand that there are adults that will manipulate them in this way. It’s possible he got her to do things and then blackmailed her for more. Regardless of how he did it, he was an adult and she was an 11 year old child. Not acceptable no matter the circumstance.

  • I’ll give you that you may possibly recognize the new iPhone from the near identical previous model. But I do not believe at all that you (or anyone) can confirm that bag was real unless you took it an examined it closely. And even if you could, why are you even paying attention to other people’s things like that? It implies that you are judging people based on an assuredly flawed narrative you’ve made up about them in your head. If you’re going to make assumptions, why not make it positive assumptions rather than assuming they make bad choices with their money?

  • Right and additionally I wonder how this person knew that the lady he mentioned had the “latest” iPhone and that her “Gucci” bag wasn’t a knock off. And perhaps she was able to afford these things because she doesn’t have a car note - does that revoke her right to complain about wasted money?

  • I’m not saying it’s equivalent to that at all, but it’s a huge known risk. Riding a motorcycle is dangerous, and it’s our prerogative to do so, but with that risk, we also have to take our safety into our own hands.

I know when riding that I must recognize cross traffic WELL ahead of time and be prepared for them to pull out in front of me because they may not see me.

We must ride like we are invisible, because the reality is that in many cases, we are.

  • Settle down, they’re right.

As a motorcycle rider I am very aware that every time I get out on the road I am putting myself in a much more vulnerable position where a simple accident could cause much more damage or death than most other forms of personal transportation. Basically, I’m riding outside at car speed, with just my clothes to protect me.

It would suck, but unless there is strong evidence that this driver intentionally mowed him down or something, the motorcycle rider does shoulder a lot of the blame by getting on the motorcycle in the first place.

  • It’s more that I don’t presume to know the full reason behind every decision they make.

The A16 processor that’s just made its way to the iPhone didn’t have usb3 on chip, the new A17 on the iPhone pro does. My assumption is that next year when iPhone presumably moves to the A17 that it will then have usb3 speeds.

Not everything has to be some nefarious plot, damn.

  • The pro has a new processor that they’ve added usb3 to. The base uses the last generation processor which did not have that.

You’re making a lot of assumptions about their intentions and claiming that people are defending bad behavior, but it really just looks like you don’t know what you’re talking about.

  • It’s not built into the A16 chip that is in the iPhone, but it’s been added to the A17 that’s in the pro. You think there’s space in these devices to just add an extra chip? Get real.
