  • Wow finally. I remember when I moved to Notepad++ a decade ago when I still used Windows, to get that behaviour. Being able to close it without losing all the open tabs was a game changer.

  • That's the point, they are this long on purpose so that you never actually press them by accident, and never conflict with any other shortcut someone would use. They exist for custom keyboards that have an "Office" or "Copilot" button. The special key then sends that shortcut.

  • How's the AMD drivers situation on Linux? I always used Nvidia since they have official drivers, but might change for the next card if AMD works better. I don't use Wayland so never ran into the issues.

  • What do you mean he wasn't so lucky, after all he lived out his live in Toronto. That he did a brain scan at some point of his life doesn't matter. Sucks for the robot who thought he was him.

  • I was just annoyed at the protagonist for expecting anything else. The exact same thing already happened 2 times to the protagonist (initial copy at beginning of the game, then move to the other suit). Plus it's reinforced in the found notes for good measure. So by the ending, the player knows exactly what's going to happen and so should the protagonist, but somehow he's surprised.

  • Only if you copy and paste to the same disk. When copy pasting to a different disk, as any consciousness transfer would entail, it is very much actually copied and actually removed (from the index).

  • Why would anyone pirate Windows and risk malware? You can download it for free straight from Microsoft, and you can just skip the product key step during installation, it works without a key just fine.

  • It sure is questionable, but so far each test got further than the last one, so while I wouldn't be making any bets on it working, I'm not going to discount it either. People said the same thing about reusable rockets and now it's no big deal. They might have a chance, as long as the president of SpaceX manages to keep Musk away from it.

  • So what I'm reading from your comment is:

    • They accept refunds even if you were already using the service for up to 30 days
    • They have support that will help you diagnose issues
    • They will give you a refund if they can't solve your issue
    • They usually get back to you within 3 days
    • You are not locked in to their app and can use other ones if they work better for you

Thanks for the info, I should try them.

  • What time is it in Melbourne?

"The Standard Time is 4:05. The time of day is equivalent to 14:15 in your location."

Wasn't that hard to solve. And it's actually more precise, since it incorporates the changing times of sunrise and sundown.
