Rabbi Colonel Eyal Karim, who has been nominated as the new Chief Rabbi of the Israeli Defence Forces, is under scrutiny for comments he made about rape during wartime.
In 2012, revelations emerged regarding comments Rabbi Karim had made almost a decade previously, prior to joining the IDF.
At that time, Rabbi Karim answered questions for an Ask the Rabbi column on the national-religious “Kipa” news site. In 2003, he answered a question about how the Torah could justify the rape of non-Jewish women during wartime by explaining the Torah’s reasoning – but failed to say that such a thing was completely forbidden in the modern era.
Rabbi Karim issued a clarification in 2012 regarding his comments, stating that “obviously, in our times, when the world has advanced to a level of morality in which one does not marry captives, one must not perform this act, which is also entirely against the army’s values and orders.”
They literally cannot kick it back to states. It would mean anyone could file civil lawsuit in any state and it would be arbitrary up to whatever judge to bar federal candidate from the ballot. Then it might go to judgment call by a state Supreme Court (with or without appeals courts) and/or a secretary of state.
If SCOTUS kicked it back to states it's already been declared that about 30 states will immediately remove Biden from the ballot.
That's just not true. It's been obvious to everyone since DNC admitted rigging vote against Bernie. It's not some conspiracy, it's been admitted to by DNC lawyers, Whatshername-Shultz and Brazille in her many writings on the subject. No one accomplished "fix it" since 2016, that's almost eight years. Bernie would have beaten Trump and we wouldn't be in this timeline.
People running the DNC are the ones to blame when Trump wins. Not Trump, not voters, not unelectable Biden (or Harris who?). I hope the marches in mid Nov 2024 are to oust DNC staff and hold them accountable.
There's no actual definition. People often have all sorts of unconventional relationships/friendships. You have have sexless marriages, friends with benefits, etc.
Typically in general, most people are most comfortable when relationship moves towards having sex it often becomes exclusive relationship (in general, for most people). Some relationships might become exclusive and dating for a long time without sex. Some marriages even are platonic and maybe one or both have sex outside the marriage.
Really they intended land owning men to elect a handful of people to go to the capitol and get together and elect a leader, hopefully respecting the votes of those back home.
So not really oligarchy. Citizens United and Bush v Gore means this system is a joke and the rich and powerful decide who leads, luckily Trump is neither.
If Trump had any influence he could have launched a single successful recount challenge or court case with ANY evidence of fraud or election misconduct. He couldn't, so he relies completely on a fervent cult-like group of followers.
DNC lawyers argued that the Democratic Party doesn’t owe anyone a fair process and that it has every right to disregard its own rules or interpret its rules how it wants because it is a private organization.
"The president is really rewriting the playbook when it comes to what a reelection campaign looks like and how we are in deep partnership with the DNC,”

I don't think Twitter was a fuck up. It's likely he had $20B or something insane in cap gains (maybe from selling Tesla shares or other investments).
He took Twitter private sold it on paper to same private shareholders, now can claim $17B or whatever it is in losses. Now he pays nothing in taxes, has one of the largest Internet mouthpieces he can use to sway elections, etc. The only people who took losses are banks he used to swing purchase and the twitter landlord he is refusing to pay.
I disagree that rcv etc will help. Ive looked extensively into voting audits and all the alternative voting. While useful on a local level there are real problems for national election performed at state and county administration in US.... not to mention changing every state constitution.
RCV can be gamed, it's nearly impossible to recount or transparent audits, with the exception of removing anonymous ballots (yes even with crypto because hackers or admin or two party key holders can reverse the crypto if you have receipt type proof)
A viable third party could have happened by now, except for decades of the crying about spoiler candidates and throwaeay votes and all the usual fake excuses
This is a lie and false narrative. If people would have been voting third party since 1992, there might be viable candidates.
It's 100% DNC fault for rigged system where they picked Hillary because she directly paid them millions. They are picking Biden because he's directly funneling hundreds of millions to DNC.
Any healthy sane organization would have had a primary with a few strong candidates instead of an unelectable senile genocide supporter. Period. If people are worried about Trump, run a real candidate, don't tell people you have to vote for whatever shitbag DNC has selected because they get salary and probably steal money from DNC.
Doesn't matter, it's just up to state Republicans do declare it and they can make many arguments, usually involving Hunter and Ukraine, maybe even illegal immigration.
It would then be up to courts to rule if 14th applies to Biden. And that could be challenged to SCOTUS, and they will decide the winner just like Bush v Gore
It's 100% real, but not a new controversy.
