The plan is to enforce it in our comms and maybe help promote it elsewhere. People acting maliciously can of course still be handled with sanctions manually. People who tend to do this for clout, eventually get unmasked.

There's a new guideline that I was about to post in this comm soon that is aiming to help people avoid genai content they might not want to see. I think a good solution is to allow people who don't want to see genai content the flexibility to hide them from the feeds which then allows less excuses from those who still go into such content to troll, argue and downvote.

So, basically what every VC-backed capitalist is doing. But we don't see these constant articles of "But at what cost" for every VC-backed venture

Again, python 2 still exists. nothing would be "trashed". If you want backwards compatibility just keep using python2. We clearly don't see things the same way, but given that python is the most popular languge in the world, I'm happy most see it my way.

Very cool, but, what I found always charming in PoP was the stressful swordfighting as well and I see none of that. It looks like a more platformy/parkour Dead Cells (which ain't a bad thing)

Python 2 transition took decades and EOL was almost a decade ago, get over it. If you still want to use it, use it!

I don't understand this approach at all. Software evolves and sometimes you need breaking changes. Godot did it as well, but I guess that "great for tinkering" as well.

It fills me with confidence that the language is the most widely used in the world and is not afraid to do what must be done instead of growing stale and unwieldly so that lazy developers don't learn anything new.
