Forewarning: Brag post.

I got a message from the parent of a student who goes to a school I did a talk at during book week who said "I inspired her son to come home and write a story" and jesus christ has that made my day/week/year. I don't get them that often, but every time I get a message from a parent saying something like that it just means so much knowing there is a kid out there writing his own story now.

What's your boggle?

I have a rather big collection of collectibles (mostly Uncharted and Goosebumps stuff and Lego, but also some jurassic park things and Indiana Jones) and since the break up and moving into a smaller house I've come to think 'what am I doing with this stuff?' Yeah some is nice to look at, but it's just clutter and start thinking will I have this stuff when I'm 70? What am I going to do with it. So I've been thinking about downsizing and selling a lot of it.

But I ask myself now 'do I need it', 'will it work, etc.

It's absurd that you can work your ass off and have your mark lowered because of someone else.

Why do universities insist on group assignments?

It tastes like a Barney Banana.

Well I'm sold.

It is an amazing feeling. Really motivates me to keep going when that motivation can be lacking.

It didn't say the school - email address was like a state wide one - but worked out a solution that will hopefully work.

Officeworks accept them too dont they? Maybe other stores too? But I hazard a guess they go into drawers or the bin.

I just got a random email from someone saying they love reading my books and I am one of their favourite authors ever.

I figured it was just a spam email since I get them frequently - usually wanting to sell me something - and its too my author outlook email which is advertised in the books and on my twitter profile, etc.

Check the email address and it's from an education email address - so the ones they give assign to kids at school.

Could still be a bored student taking the piss, but I choose to believe I just got my first ever fan e-mail.

Lol. Sadly I do not have your shit-stirring abilities.

They stole my cubicle walls a few weeks back. Which means no one can see my 'sometimes I feel like a t-wreck' with a picture of a sad looking T-rex on there picture. And also my garfield 'I hate mondays' picture.

Par for the course for this place.

It's so nice how little my work have for my regard they schedule some randoms to have a meeting in my 'office' and not tell me.

So work from home today.

I definitely can't jump on social media on a typewriter too.

I don't think it would be fast enough for writing a story (for me). But I hope to use it for smaller things. Give it a personal touch. Like thank you letters to schools.

And award winning speeches...lol
