  • If you can't find the option to block in your preferred app, you can always go to your instance in a browser and block the user in your settings.

  • I didn't get it until I found the artists on Twitter. Unfortunately, they're now scattering all over the place with Elon's bullshit.

I have one artist friend on Mastodon, Arsbin@mastodon.art, but so far she's the only one.

I never cared much for the political or celebrity bullshit on Twitter.

  • I'm sure places that are still banning nuclear power aren't helping either.

  • Vim has things like copy and paste, including being able to highlight text, search and replace, and I find its commands a lot less clunky than Nano's. I am not a software developer or a sysadmin, just someone who uses Linux for fun. All of this stuff works without having X or Wayland running too.

  • Also, why would you even get Word or PowerPoint on macOS?? Excel I understand but these two??

Because Word and Powerpoint are what they know.

  • Nano is overrated. I tell everyone who needs to edit from the terminal to use vimtutor. You'll never go back to Nano.

  • Wait until you hear how many people are driving without a license at all.

  • Can confirm. I'm in southeastern Wisconsin, and DUIs are a normal part of life for many people here. The punishments for DUIs and reckless driving are a joke in this state.

  • The other reason I quit using Google is because Google shows you what they think you want to see, rather than just what they found. I'm not really interested in buying an extension to make Google's filter bubble usable.

  • Because you're using kbin lol

  • Yup. I think it got worse when Elon bought it.

  • Elon doesn't pay his bills either. Who knows how long his site will last.

  • You never heard about all his business failures? The guy is just too full of himself to admit that he ever failed.

  • Yeah, even Apple includes the iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) for free on Macs and iPads, no subscription needed.

  • WordPad was often used if a file was too big for Notepad, over 64 KB. But now there are better options.

  • The notability guidelines mainly apply to full articles, not casual mentions within an article. The title of this post led me to believe an article got approved, not an outdated (at the time of this comment) blurb about apps and their development status. I've made many minor edits to articles over the years.
