Lol. Thanks. But I take don't give a crap about up or downvotes. I literally never look at that ever. I just want to get my opinion out and see what other people's opinions are.
Android also has "airdrop". It's called "nearby share". Works weekly l exactly the same way so there's no need to WhatsApp it. You can share it right there with all android users.
Look on your phone settings. There's also going to be a nearby share quick toggle if you want to turn it on and off manually.
Also press "share" on a photo and nearby share will be an option. Press it and try it out and learn it.
This is great news! But I'm sure Google is probably using it as a way to get all the cookies for themselves and then sell that data to these companies.
The companies will still get their data but they'll have to buy it from Google only as Google will probably be considered a 1st party cookie vendor.
If any site wants me to sign up to use it, I'll just not use it. No big deal.
I'm not surprised. Apple Vision Pro is junk. Zuckerberg released a short video giving his opinion and he's right::Quest is way better in every way and 7 times cheaper.
The Quest is lighter, has no cables, can do AR and VR, has better controllers, has way more apps and games and costs 7(!) times less.
The Vision Pro is bulky and heavy, cords get in the way, the battery only lasts 2 hours, you need special lenses if you use glasses, it barely has any apps and it's watching you all the time.
Apple should really be embarrassed at how bad this product is after years of R&D and millions spent. They can't even compete against Quest. All they had to do was copy it but they couldn't even manage that.
The teams are too greedy for that sponsorship money so they block competitors
F1 is too expensive. They need to massively LOWER the budget, stop the revenue sharing and double the number of teams.
Also get rid of the stupid hybrid and go back to V8 or V10. Tone down the emphasis on aero and make cars that are raceable without all the aero tricks.
F1 is boring. I only watch old F1, pre hybrid days and nothing else.
I don't live in the US. But I would hope that eventually prisons would adopt the mindset to reform inmates rather than just keep them locked up for nothing.
How so? How does ensuring they only the real dev of the app is also the only one allowed to package it hurt desktop adoption.
It's very easy to enforce. Flathub need to verify the identity of the person submitting the Flatpak to make sure it's the app's dev uploading it and not Joe Smith or nsa.gov....
The official Developer of the app. E.g. the official dev of Blender is blender.org. The flatpak people give them a line of code to embed in their website and they use that to verify that the dev really is blender.org and not a malicious actor.
That's not my point. I use Flathub but I try to only use verified apps which were packaged by the actual dev.
I'd rather get a deb from the official dev than a flatpak from flathub packaged by someone who is essentially anonymous and could easily inject malicious code.
If you think the dev himself could inject malicious code in the official app, then you should be super aware that an anonymous Joe can too, and is far more likely to.
Anyway flatpak ideally was supposed to save Devs the work of packaging for every distro so it makes sense that the real actual verified dev of the app would package the flatpak/snap himself
Valve are not going to put malicious code on their app. Neither is VLC or any other FOSS developer.
The distros should stick to packaging their repo apps and leave the Snap/FlatPak tech as an alternative to the original dev if they decide they want to use that.
We can't have Bob from nowhere packaging Valve, then not updating it or patching it because he doesn't have time. Or 5 Bob's all doing the same thing with 5 copies of Valve on the Store.
It's crazy. This is what causes fragmentation. Flathub should vet every app and if you are not the dev of the app, you may not host it on Flathub. You're still welcome to make a Flatpak for home use on your own pc but not for wide distribution.
I think we all saw this coming. But the worst part is this: they want to replace white collar jobs like Developers, Managers, Architects, Engineers etc - all the educated people.
Whereas it should be used to replace manual labour jobs in conjunction with robotics to spare humans doing heavy and dangerous labour, freeing them to go study and get white collar jobs. Thereby improving society and raising people on the bottom, to the middle and beyond.
Instead they are cutting down the top and the middle, making these people jobless and poor thereby increasing the poverty!
Just so that a few billionaires can get even richer! It's disgusting!
It's just a big money grab! Everyone is trying to get rich quick. Like with the App Store. Everyone is hoping their bot breaks into the big time and makes them rich.
This is what is terrible about society. Few are making bits that help people, they make bots that appeal to the base desires. A race to the bottom if you will.....will man ever learn???
Lol. Thanks. But I take don't give a crap about up or downvotes. I literally never look at that ever. I just want to get my opinion out and see what other people's opinions are.
But you're right, it's probably the isheep....
