My wife last year took 3 courses of different antibiotics for an antibiotic resistant infection. It fucked up her gut so badly that she could basically only have ensure and sports drinks, or else she would throw up. On top of that, her mental health went out the window. It wasn't a fun time. I hope you recover soon.
I had a roommate who would play games while skipping all the dialog and cutscenes, and then complain about how bad the story was. And when I would call him out on it, he would say, "well, I watched a YouTube video recapping the story." I asked him to show me a recap video that he watched. It was literally a guy talking over all of the cutscenes and dialogue and saying all the things that he didn't like about it.
Say what you want, but Hayden Christiansen is absolutely incredible with his lightsaber choreography. When he showed his skills for only a few seconds in Ahsoka, it just made me sad about how bad the sequel trilogy actors were.
Okay, well 4 were wisdom teeth and 3 were baby teeth (I had fucked up teeth as a kid). I was awake for the three, and I didn't think they were a big deal. They put numbing cream on my gums, then gave me a numbing shot in my gums, which is hardly felt at all. I didn't feel them pull my teeth at all. It hurt a lot afterwards, but it was manageable with mild painkillers. The pain didn't last long. When I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, I was eating a burrito and helping my sister move just a couple days later.
It does suck that Google gave themselves a monopoly on it on Android. But I personally find it much better than Signal as far as features go. I think Signal tries too hard to be secure at the expense of features. My old phone broke and I lost all my messages. Nothing I can do to get them back. Luckily I only used it when my parents were out of the country, but if I had old messages and photos from a friend that passed, I would have been heartbroken. Signal was basically dead to me after I realized that sometimes I can lose messages.
I still have my texts from when my wife and I started dating almost 15 years ago.
So either they just haven't removed it yet, or boost is calculating it manually. Here's the link to the lemmy devs talking about how they don't want this feature.
As long as it's possible to turn off the shake and do it with a button. Motion controls are not accessibility friendly.
