At first I thought this was a post about Meta being only just mildly infuriating for a change.

Last time I checked Threads was 95% brand and influencer posts anyway.

If Meta threw up ads as ActivityPub objects they'd probably be blocked so fast by every instance.

It's always going to be like that; photo blogging is a lot more popular than niche forums and bulletin boards.

Also, Pixelfed has a lot more eyes on it because of Meta being in the news.

It's not a bad thing though.

Random semi-related thought. I'm going through the comparison of BitTorrent clients page on Wikipedia and it's amazing how many clients end up as Adware.
