  • Are they really checking each other if they all want to place power in one political party (or more accurately, one person)?

I read the title and immediately thought of the time when President Xi if China had basically made himself president for life and during a rally, Trump said maybe we should try that some day and did that little shrug he does when he really means what he says but shrugs to make the crowd think he's not really serious about it.

  • Liftoff also let's you swipe in any direction to close.

I'd like to see the image viewer and web links open differently, like the image links open with the in-app browser but web links open directly in an external browser.

  • They're just against anything liberals are for at this point. If liberals like it, it must be bad! Just wait until the Republicans take away their Medicare and social security. But wait, the Republicans will blame the Dems for it and the hate continues. This country is pretty much fubar for decades.

  • I've been using Brave for a few years now on my desktop and after reading the threads lately about it, I'd like to switch. I don't seem to have the issues other users have, but I don't want to use it based on the CEO's views on some things.

I've always had Firefox installed with uBlock Origin and I use it occasionally. One of the things Chromium based browsers have is built-in tab grouping. I know there are extensions and I've only tried Simple Tab Groups but it didn't behave how I was expecting it to behave, which is like how Chromium handles it.

So far that's the only thing I've noticed.

  • Damn. I've been using Brace for a few years and have generally been happy with it. Guess I gotta find something else now.

I know there's Firefox, I use it on occasion, but I have to get it working the way Brave does. Silly, I know, but I like things how I like things.

  • After everything went down and Sync stopped, my usage dropped considerably. I was still using Joey and Infinity for light browsing, but I haven't really browsed Reddit in about a week and have been on Lemmy and Kbin exclusively. I feel more engaged here too.

Browsing Reddit just seemed different, like the quality of posts and comments dropped considerably.

  • Samsung S23 Ultra. Been using Samsung phones the past few years, since the S10 Ultra, and I've enjoyed using them. One UI isn't the bloated garbage it used to be, and Samsung has added some nice tweaks and features. Also, the Good Lock tweaks are fantastic and I'm surprised some just aren't baked into One UI. Battery life has been stellar too.

The weight is probably the thing I don't like most. Makes a difficult to use one-handed sometimes.
