  • nope. israel isn't doing genocide. nope. no genocide or other war crimes here.

now watch them accuse us of being antisemitic and invoke the holocaust. these assholes need to know just because 6+ million of your people were murdered doesn't give you the excuse to do the same thing to another people.

  • it MIGHT have an effect in the united states. israel is so reliant on us dollars and equipment to survive, it would not be much of a stretch to call them a client state.

I don't think any (democratic) politicians want to be associated with or vocally support a genocidal nation. don't be surprised if you see (democratic) politicians talk about pulling funds from israel. it's something I think we should have done at least 30 years ago.

  • genocidist gets mad he's called a genocidist, confuses term used for hatred of a religious group with criticism of a government

one can be pro judaism (or at least neutral to it) and anti israel. someone needs to tell this clown israel≠judaism≠israel.

  • I don't have an insta, so I'm not on threads. there's no scaled up site to even come close to challenging twitter.

I'm still there because there is pretty much nowhere else to go. once one of these places actually starts being as active and engaging as twitter I'm going there.

  • I realize this is an overgeneralization I'm making.

every game made since the ps2 was officially retired. I don't hate them because they're hard and I'm just not getting the handle of gameplay. I hate them for specific reasons:

    1. the reliance on online modes. games used to be a singular affair between the player and the game. since 2008 online modes have become increasingly necessary to a requirement. with online modes comes a need for a server dedicated to that game. so what happens when the company shuts that server down? you're sol. and piggybacking on that
    2. games are released buggy out of the box. before a game wasn't published until it was done. now it's released on a target date and patches get released along the way. so if you happen to be in a position where you have the physical media but no internet you could have a broken game and not be able to do anything about it. I just think about that situation with the tony hawk game where the manus didn't ship the game on the disc and players had to download the entire game as an "update". and what's going to happen when that server shuts down?
    3. games are moving to downloads instead of on physical media. I'm a full believer in you buy a game you own it. some game publisher just said recently that players shouldn't own their games anymore. gaming is going to move to a streaming model where you own a service (console/platform) and games will move on and off it when a licensing deal expires. sorry I don't want any part of that.
    4. games made that don't require you to be online to have any kind of gameplay are becoming rare. I'm the game player that plays the game just to play the game and doesn't want to play against another human player online. my competitive juices don't flow that way. I'm perfectly fine playing against the game's ai.

tldr the internet killed gaming for me.

  • I find it interesting that those single issue voters who care about "the border" only really care about the southern border, even though the drugs they want to stop are smuggled in from the east and west coast and the bad people they want to keep out are coming across via airplane.

what I'm saying is that these people should want the canadian border, all international airports, and coastal ports of entry as militarized as the southern border but they don't say shit about the others.

  • I can't get over the fact that women actually vote for these men. if no women vote for these creeps, they all lose in a landslide.

I seriously want to know the thought process that says "this politician thinks I'm sentient livestock, I'll vote for him".

  • what I don't understand is that if that person realizes that trump would send all the money and weapons to israel with no strings attached. he'd do it because he hates brown people and his supporters (who give him what he really wants- undying idolation) hate brown people AND want the commencement of armageddon so their prophet litch returns and he does what they want so they keep loving him.

at least biden is using the soft power he has before he starts using hard power.

  • I've got to believe that a huge reason for that these days is because of how the republican party has deliberately and openly declared themselves the party of jesus and then go do the most inhumane and cruel things to other people. how preachers are openly declaring democrats ungodly and satanic from the pulpit.

  • I had a teacher in high school who had in his classroom a sign that compelled standing for the pledge. our school also played the anthem too and I'll bet that mandate carried over too. I didn't have him 1st period so I never had to endure any of that.

he was also quite literally the worst teacher I ever had. he didn't teach anything. it was basically a class where you sat, listened to him lecture about bullshit, call him sir every time, and sit and write on a topic to a specific word count. also a self described white married with children christian who (I didn't find out until well after I graduated) hit on the black girls in class, but you probably knew that already.

  • you know what the quickest way is to make a kid resent their country? force meaningless ceremony on them every day.

i was forced to say the pledge of allegiance every day up until high school. it was a bit of a shock to not be forced to say it my freshman year. I can't imagine how bad it would be to be forced to say the pledge and sing the anthem every day. especially if you get some of those teachers who have a flagpole stuck up their asses that they will give some sort of administrative punishment if you sang the magical flag song wrong. I think I'd tell my parents I was just going to live in detention all year.

  • elon should be ecstatic that there is no viable scaled alternative to his site because I am sure pissing off probably one of if not the most powerful woman on the planet and her legions of fans is not good for business.

and because there's no alternative he's not incentivised to do anything about it so the problem will persist.
