  • This type of subscription is actually kiiiiinda understandable because the company has to maintain servers, staff and keep the software secure because they're handling sensitive data such as location etc.

I also remember that BMW I think? Had a heated seat subscription and that's really not justifiable imo

  • Epic games is retarded.

I bought rdr when it releases in PC there, and oh wonder the pic port wasn't good at the beginning.

Tried to get it to run for the hours, including the launcher update and stuff like that.

No luck, and no refund because I "played" for now than two hours...

  • From what I understand you obfuscate the port in order to limit the amount of incoming attacks. But then fail2ban would be a much more effective tool.

The disinterested aspect you described is the actual problem. Because it's based on the assumption your port won't be found, but it definitely will, and as soon as that happens you'll end up in a database such as shodan and the entire effect is GONE.

  • I wouldn't be overly harsh.

Some logos/images/designs are simply hardwired to the function that they can't remember where the apps are if the logo changes. I'm pretty sure I'll be the same if I use something for 30 years.
