  • The most incredible part of this is it isn't even a Linux flaw. The key to this exploit is downloading shit software, an issue that exists universally on any operating system (especially Windows).

How to mitigate the risk? Don't let your idiot user download malware.

  • Obligatory "your 1% edge case doesn't invalidate the point" comment.

Many many many many people could bike if there was infrastructure.

Again - it's not a once size fits all solution. But you should still advocate for better bike infrastructure where applicable.

  • Like at least if they're gonna get bribed it would be enough to pay off student loans and then some.

Because if the story was true, you'd lose your medical license. It's hard to pay off your student debt if you're not a doctor or nurse anymore.

  • Had this one from my grandmother.

Apparently doctors and nurses have been paid off to peddle this and it's all part of a big global hoax.

Meanwhile my sister with $80,000 nursing student loans is like "Wtf where's my money? You mean I nearly died working my butt off for nothing??" - 80 hours "full time" per week.

Also ignoring the fact that if even 0.001% of the global medical community has misgivings about accepting what I assume must have been an enormous bribe that we would have heard about it??

  • They're actually global epidemic. And it amazes me that you can sell a ticket to someone who doesn't have the intention of physically putting a physical body of themselves, a friend or family in the seat. All it does is lock real dedicated fans out.

At the very least I think artists should be able to choose to not have their tickets sold on the secondary market.

  • Given the vast array of existing pitfalls in AI, not to mention the outright biases and absence of facts - AI psychology would be deeply flawed and would more likely kill people.

Person: I'm having unaliving thoughts, I feel like it's the only thing I can do

    AI: Ok do it then

That alone is why it'll never happen.

Also we need to sort out how to house, heal and feed our people before we start going and replacing masses of workforce.
