People really need to harp on about this more. It's become the hardest argument for gun control to refute.

If you prefer eink but want the size of a phone, there are some good, cheap phone sized android eink readers now. You have to hack them a bit to get English instead of Chinese, or buy from a seller on aliexpress who already did it for you, but it's not a problem. I use a moaan inkpalm and I couldn't be happier. I find myself reading in the odd moments I have here and there, which is not something I managed to do with my kindle.

I've also had good luck using syncthing to sync my library (and progress) across devices with koreader.

With very little time on screen he gave the character as much or more depth than many of the main cast. He really did do a fantastic job with him.

Thanks for this comment. I had not come across that hardening guide. It is extremely well written, and it's worth a read, even if you have no intention of trying to harden your system, just to see what's out there.

I'd consider most of it overkill for my threat model, but there are some things I'll probably implement or try out just because they look pretty neat.

And then fix it from CDROM sources without internet. That's 90s hardmode.

I have a pretty powerful 'exhaust fan' that I repurposed exactly this way and.it works way better than my previous box fan did. As in, after kicking up dust with my table saw the airborne dust is clered in less than 10 minutes. Of course, there's still dust on the surfaces.

I built a box around the fan, and I have it suck air through a coconut choir filter, then a allergy ac filter. I put a removable frame around the filter to block air from going around and let me change it, but other than vacuuming the front I've not had to do anything to the filter. It is kind of loud, but I put a dimmer on the power cord and I can turn it down. I generally use it while/after I make a lot of dust, and I have a timer turn it on at night when no one is around to hear the noise.

I mean, dogs have their junk just hanging down. Cats don't. I'd guess that's what it is.

I asked my mom why there were commercials and she said 'so the actors could get paid'. I thought it was pretty rude of them to make everybody wait around watching commercials when they could just hang around for a couple minutes after the show was done to get their money. Like, I thought they were literally counting out the money into their hands during the commercials.

How does a fence do anything about a cat?

It's pretty amazing to me how angry people get about dogs pooping in their yards and owners not picking it up when anyone with a cat who ever lets it out makes zero effort to keep that cat from pooping in other people's yards and most people don't seem to mind.

The older the cat, the less they bury their excrement. Sometimes it's just enough to obscure it so you step in it. Sometimes it's notburried at all. It's so much more offensive to me than dog poop that I have to assume there's some sort of genetic marker that some of you lack that makes me smell it as one of the most foul smells i've ever experienced. I've lived next to someone with 20 some cats and barely any yard and they made it completely impossible to enjoy my yard at all, and unlike dogs putting up a fence does nothing.

In that case, use linuxserver's webtop container. I use one for exactly that. Runs in a browser. I mounted the home directory to a folder so it keeps any files and settings I have, but I haven't mounted anything else to a volume, so whenever I restart the container it's fresh. Makes it really easy to try out software or configurations.

I'm sorry, but this is incredibly misleading. Islam's definition of crimes that are punnishable by death includes things like apostasy. We shouldn't pretend that changing one's mind or disagreeing with a religion that was chosen for you is a crime.
