  • Thanks for explaining it. I'm not well versed on Star Wars. Seems like a galatic credit would have huge value compared to a local currency and someone would take that risk. Like trying to use USD in Argentina last year, illegal but worth it.

  • I have all the skill and info needed to pirate anything I want safely and easily. I still use your method.

#1 stats are recorded and they can see what those of us who only buy one month a year watch. #2 it's easy and $18 a year isn't a bad price for the shows and movies I am interesting IMO. #3 there is a certain joy in binging and cancelling after one month that pirating cannot provide.

PS: I kinda like checking in on the Netflix interface once a year just to see what people are dealing with.

  • Inflation doesn't feel great but the cost of groceries is a different metric. Grocery prices are still up and rising faster than inflation.

In my opinion groceries probably should cost more but rent and several other expenses should be far lower. How long ago was it that budgeting 1/3 of income for food was considered normal?

  • It pretty valuable even if you don't change it. He can see what his competitors are being paid. He can correlate it with Twitter's user data to tie political enemies to physical addresses and more.

Not that they won't corrupt it. They will almost certainly alter it to their own ends as well.
