Non intentional peak performance

  • Yes, but now there's been a study(s) done, and more studies to backup (or disprove!) is always good, even if the subject "is a given"

  • It's in the crosspost menu

  • Well I am shocked, SHOCKED I say! Well, not that shocked.

  • No no, the one that goes Boop beep beep boop!

  • Yes Nintendo yes! I'm sure you won't turn into a Sony after the OtherOS debacle, just keep doin what you're doing! LMAO

  • Florida manBird

  • You can export/import subscriptions, block lists, user tags and something else I'm feel like I'm forgetting

To export go-to lemm.ee/settings and scroll to bottom to "Export", import is the same way on your selected new instance.

You can't export/import posts, comments or votes on Lemmy unfortunately, however, they will live on on the Lemmy-verse network. .ee comms and their content will be cached by all the other active instances and .ee user contributions to remote comms (relative to them/you) will remain

  • Lol, it's an article, the whole point is to summarize "something else", they even have a few paragraphs on the highlights and then links the patch notes themselves at the end.

  • Some highlights from the link:

"Don't worry guys, the Uyghur Genocide was REALLY just birth control! ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/30580167

"See! nobody died IN Tiananmen Square, just AROUND it, so it doesn't count!!" ~ Davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/30673342

Just "kids" though "boys will be boys" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯😂

  • That's not really an excuse to half ass it, there's lots of things a rouge instance could do and that's one of many reasons defederation is a thing

  • Even on an individual level, like what is the point of blocking someone if they can still fully interact with your posts and comments, just you can't see it.

That's a mute, when Xitter tried (or did? Idr) to downgrade their actual block to essentially the same thing that Lemmy has now it was met with outrage.

Proper blocking should be a core feature of any social media, it's not a 'nice to have' feature that can be developed when there's time for it

  • Don't tell me what to do! You're not my mom after I broke both my arms!

  • Too bad block doesn't mean block to the devs LMAO
