For some reason people really hate Google. Some may have valid reasons, some may not, some may just dislike their results. Most just hate Google because it's the "cool" thing to do. Ignore the idiots and use what search engine you like.

Nope. Jaguars were absolute trash before Ford bought them out back in the day, then got a lot more reliable (but arguably uglier, so as not to compete with Aston Martin) when built with Ford stuff. Tata purchased them semi-recently and they've gotten even better.

True, I did simplify quite a bit. My wife is a lifer federal employee and like you said, we're well prepared if the gov't shuts down. Of course we still realize how shit it can be for those who aren't prepared or won't get back pay and don't want that to happen.

Yes, but if you're directly employed by the fed, you will receive back pay. If you receive unemployment pay during that time, you will have to pay it back.

The big issue is people who are employed by a contracting firm and work in federal buildings - they won't receive back pay when they come back.

I've come to use Bing more than I use Google. It's not necessarily better than Google's results sometimes, it's that they just don't suck either. I still easily find what I'm looking for, and I get some rewards to cash out for some free shit while I'm at it.

Not quite, though. Gmail uses labels, but translates that to folders on IMAP. You can set your client to download the folders automatically, and if an email goes into a specific folder don't put it in the app's Inbox. Then you just check your inbox and folders just like you would on Gmail's webclient.

I collect both. I still have an old early-90s Sony system that I plunked a modern record player on top of and use almost every day. I also have a (factory) tape player in my old project car and will record CDs to a tape with the same system. Listening to modern music on tapes in an old car is just fun.
